Guilty. It's something that I have always relegated to the background, and not giving it much thought (I'm not a staunch fan of the horror genre. But during my movie browsing last friday, it caught my attention, and I decided to give a go. The rest is history as they say. Had to pause part 1 till the following morning. That sh*t scared me.

abeg! Thanks for that. Na supernatural horror, involving ghost is the real deal, the conjuring, amyterville, insidious etc. Lord. I give anything, anything for that kind of horror. Slashers are cool, Friday the 13th, nightmare on elm street, wrong turn etc. But their stories don't thrill me. They just really on gore and body count to keep shxt moving

Wrong Turn is scary but in a different way. Like you're more afraid of the chased victims than you are of that ajar wardrobe door behind you.

lol! Well we are different sha. Wrong turn was like a comedy to me. I just kept laughing at the victims stupidity. If they were wiser they shouldn't have fallen victim. And to me, after the first one, I just didn't get the vibe in the sequels. They just made them gorey. The first one I actually enjoyed. Seen the hills have eyes?

Mehn, the first Rings was the shvt. The second was ok. Haven't seen the third one yet. Horror for me now is not that scary again but some of the creepiest horror movies I've seen would be The Thing, Hills Have Eyes and Nightmare on Elm Street.

You right slash themed horror deals with body count, but which one is watching spirit or ghost movies and breeze manage to shut your door all of a sudden more like you been watched.

I have seen Ring 1 and 2......3 came out in January but didn't bother to download cos of the reviews..... not that scary to me.....

I usually watch 1 or 2 horror movies every year, can't be seeing shadow of my shirt in the night and start covering blanket again.

Both of Saw & Final Destination franchises were more horrifying than spooky. The gory affairs will more likely elicit a gasp motivated by horror than a gasp motivated by fear.

Jeeper Creepers, esp part 1, crept me out a bit. If my memory serves me well, it's a flying scarecrow thingy that culls random teens every number of years, right?

Good list. Haven't seen The Devil Within. The ratings were just so dire that I was always put off in the past from downloading it. Should I go ahead? Is it worth it?

Sorry not the Devil Within, the Devil Inside and for me it was worth it. I think the aim of horror movies is to scare and that movie scared me like hell. The Devil Inside is a 2012 exorcism movie shot in a documentary style giving off the feeling that you are also a partaker in the events of the film.
