If Nigerian will give Saraki a chance he will do just well. he is the most intelligent leader Nigeria has at moment. we need intelligent person as leader and not wicked, Saddist mumu like Buhari. God have bestowed wisdom on saraki and Nigerians we be glad to have him as president. I feel pains when I think about Buhari leading this country for another four years, the suffering, the killings and all have you. May God remember us as He remembered us during the time of tyrannist Abacha. |

Rev. Chris okotie..... reason Is because Nigeria doesn't need a politician as president but Nigeria needs a prophet as a president,d current situation of Nigeria is not what earthly wisdom can solve. ... Am speaking from d womb of God. BEFORE YOU QUOTE ME MAKE SURE YOU HEAR FROM GOD. OTHERWISE KEEP QUIET. |

dantewest:What's your definition of competency? Please educate us on his achievements as the Senate President of the 8th Senate. Let me remind you of some of his promises when he took office: 1. Open NASS: i.e to instill transparency in the accounts and earning of the Senate. 2. Speedy passage of the budget (Which coincidentally is the number one function of NASS) 3. Work with the Federal government to bring the much-needed change to Nigerians. 4. Reduce the Senate budget Please tell us without sentiments, which of these 4 promises was fulfilled by him. I mean, if we say Buhari is not competent, we should aspire for a better candidate. Except it's a case of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". |

OMOTOWO:If elevating poverty level is your definition of good governance then you need your head checked. Buhari has been and will remain the most hypocritical leader to ever occupy that seat. His followers are real zombies. Its been 4 years of frustration and your very own family members would take sides with me on this one. ![]() |

I'll go with Buhari because of the following reasons. 1. He is the first president that does not abandon the previous governments projects (in the area of roads, rail. etc). I stand to be corrected. For a country to move forward projects uncompleted by previous governments should not be abandoned. 2. N-power scheme, although some do not believe that the scheme is true or some felt that the job is not worth it. but to some extent it has helped lots of people out there and it Is one of the most transparent social intervention scheme I've ever seen. Yes some says a lot of people are out of job during his tenure but let's be realistic what has previous governments done to reduce unemployment? 3. on the issue of Agriculture he has tried too. though some will complain about the Ban placed on importation of rice etc., but to some extent it as helped our farmers, because a lot of farmers are discouraged because people will always prefer imported rice to local ones. but with the ban we can see a lot of reformed local rice out there now although they are still in small quantities but more farmers will be encouraged to go into such business because they know the market is there already. 4 He tried in the area of creating jobs as well but there are lots of unemployed youth out there so he needs to improve on that. 5. conditional cash transfer to old people, although some of us will say what can you do with 5k or 10k? give 5k to a woman selling vegetables and see how happy she will be, so to some extent the aged and poor people are remembered too by the government. 6. he as also tried in the area of electricity although more work still needs to be done. But do you think those importing generators into the country will be happy or will want light to be better? some people are trying to sabotage governments effort too. lastly I want him to improve on security issues, it is very important although some of the security issues we have is politically motivated. On the issues of corruption, that can only be achieved when we the mass stop thinking because a particular person in a particular party is being tried of corruption then we think the person is being treated unfairly. A thief is a thief whether he belongs to your tribe, religion or party. sorry for my typos. |

Let me say 1st that preferred is different from Ideal. Durotoye, Sowore and all the others cannot win, so I'm not wasting my time analysing them Buhari is still the better choice out there simply because although APC are by no means saints but PDP as a party tends to attract a certain type of character....career criminals, serial looters and embezzlers, crooks, ex-convicts and people without scrupples...or worse scrupples than those in APC!! I would say the concentration of decent people in APC is about 20-30% wheras with PDP it's 10% at best. The Average PDP politician has no moral fibre and exists as a politician to loot or power for power's sake. Buhari is not an ideal choice but he is the best of the likely alternatives from the PDP. At least he is honest whcih I cannot say for ANY of the PDP candidates. It's not that Buhari is an ideal president, it's that there are no viable alternatives from the PDP list and the others have no chance. |
