PPR mail or letter, 2 passport photographs for each applicant, and VFS consent form, which you can download from vfs site.
Some people do submit IMM008 or a letter stating that their family composition didn't change. I didn't add that to mine anyway because my family composition didn't change.
As regards the cost of passport transmission, it's #14,350 (including sms charge) for each passport.

Congrats! My timeline is almost same as yours. Please what documents do we need to add to our international passport for submission? I got my PPR mail on the 18th of August.

I am saddened by the high turnover in the financial sector; experienced hands are been lost on an alarming rate.... Most of the newbies do not have the requisite knowledge ....I hope the financial sector will not witnessed increased hits via frauds and other malpractices

Well said!

I share your sentiments and fears too.

But another question is: Do the "powers that be"- both in the public and private sectors- really care?

If you like, leave, you have just simply given them slots to fill with their nieces and nephews- whether things get operated professionally and with experience hands, is another issue altogether for this class of proletariat.

It is saddening oooo, this exodus rate ehhhhh! cry

Please just asking on behalf of a doubting THOMAS. Does someone with a PGD in Canadian Uni need an assessment again Though the boy has a Nigerian BSc.

I told him he does not need an ECA for his PGD but he now switched to "I want to boost my points with BSc assessment". But me, I need that $230 he wants to waste.

Hi everyone,

Please how was your Nigerian PCC uploaded. The size of the paper is clearly not A4 or A3. It’s longer than my printer, hence it cuts off the name of the officer who took the impressions, rank, date and station. It doesnt take the entire page. Pls what can i do? Do i just go ahead without the part thats cutoff.
Thank you

HOW TO SOLVE SCANNING THE POLICE FINGERPRINT A3 LONG DOCUMENT (SAME FOR LONG MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE DOC)

1. I used the mobile "camscanner App" on my tablet to scan (capture) the long A3 fingerprints document and converted it to a PDF file and emailed it to myself.
(The Camscanner app works like your phone camera- just pace your long doc on a flat table, open the app and snap the document like you would snap a picture, make sure that the shot captures all the document edges, then the app will work on the captured doc and convert it to PDF)

2. I then opened my email on my laptop and downloaded the PDF attachment from my email for use.

3. I then uploaded it into my e-APR placeholder (after merging it with the Police Character Certificate [the other shorter document])

NB: Be careful to upload your PCC into the right and correct placeholder- the Police Character Certificate placeholder

Go back and choose the gckey option. The option you chose is for those already in Canada. Make sure you save all the log in details, questions and answers somewhere.

@Itsawonder I think this tirade is enough. We encourage sharing information here. But while we do that, we also advise that people refrain from sharing wrong information. If anyone wants to post any information here, you are either posting the source or using phrases like 'I think', 'maybe' etc to show that you are not giving that information from a place of authority. While you have the right to respond to questions in your capacity as a member of this thread, please be courteous in the way you reply the posts of people whose stance differ from yours and if you are not sure, please don't post with confidence. So many people rely on this thread for practical information. I don't respond to posts when I am not sure of the answer to provide. Nobody is grading us for providing the most answers.
So many people have used NYSC teaching experience without having a degree in education or or even anything related to the subjects they teach in school. How do think people that have relied on their NYSC teaching experience have been able to scale through? Or do you think that IRCC did not see my Engineering degree and finance experience before they gave me PPR? If it makes you feel any better, I personally know a couple of people who did not have a degree in education but used their NYSC teaching experience and scaled through. I handle JDs of people on a daily basis, so I think I can speak with a little bit of authority when I say that your degree and your work experience do not have to match for you to be eligible. Save for practicing doctors, lawyers, pharmacists and some other fields of specialization, your application will not be refused simply because you studied mass communication in the university and you are working as a cash officer in a bank. Until someone comes to post here that his EE/FSW application was refused because he studied Mechanical Engineering and used a teaching experience, we will continue to believe that you can apply as a teacher without having a B.Ed or PGDE.

It is worthy to note however, that if one is going through PNP, some provinces will require that your course of study and experience match. An example is SINP. And in such cases, you may not be able to claim teaching experience without a degree or qualification in education or something related.

Abeg make we end this matter. This thread has just been all over the place today.
Una good night

Gbam!!!

I was just going to add the bold portion as an addendum to your post till I read the write-up to the last lines and I saw it sitting beautifully there.

It can't be overemphasized, and folks be like you are exaggerating it- RESEARCH, RESEARCH AND RESEARCH SOME MORE!!
(Even the Canada that we are going to- it's a information-driven society and you gotta research to make the best decisions/ or get the most out of the society over there - nobody is going to spoon-feed anybody with info, you gotta fish it out. So if you don't start to develop the researching culture now, how do you even hit the GO train website to know your stop and train time for your interview in downtown Toronto?))

I ve been reading about the numerous processes of this Canadian immigration hustle for some time now (from multiple sources) and how they all work together and still reading till today, even parts of the process that do not directly concern me! (you cant know it all, but at a point you will know enough to make you confident in your decisions and elected solutions).

There is still alot to know- where to settle, how to get accommodation, school boards and best school types for the kids, sites to get best of vacancies, how to get drivers license etc. Ask Newmum0615 if you think I'm exaggerating things! This journey is not just some wishful "me too want to go to Canada"...there are loads of culture-shock all the way! I as a person- I don't want to join the bandwagon of Naija diasporans shouting all over social media that "obodo oyinbo is not easy ooo" hence I need to be sufficiently armed with the necessary info to be ahead of the pack in making the right decisions per time!

Ok ooo, I rest my case.

It will all end in praises IJN!

He might need to assess his B.Sc if his CRS score is not high enough. The 1yr PGD will only give him 90 points as a single against 128 for 2 or more certificates. Though he is going to get additional points for Canadian education.
