I don't know why some people do replace the position of the Prime minister (head of government) with the ceremonial post of president Nnamdi Azikiwe (1963-1966).

Tafawa Balewa was the Prime Minister (1960-1966) from Bauchi. The post was more relevant than that of Nnamdi Azikiwe.

Moreover, where is Abdusalam Abubakar from Niger State?

3).Plateau State, Northern Nigeria
Yakubu Gowon 1 August 1966 – 29 July 1975

The youngest so far cool but he was an hausa-fulani stooge.Meanwhile none of these landmark achievement ever benefitted their respective region or Nigeria as a whole except the Late Umaru Musa Yar-Addua.
He really have Nigeria @ heart.

The prime minister takes action and run the government but as far as he report to the president, according to the law the president is above him but ceremonial.

I agree with you. Dr Azikiwe was a ceremonial President with no executive powers.

They include Dr Azikiwe for the very same reason they include Dr Shonekan (who was President in name only)....add as many southerners names as possible so the list doesn't look so skewed in favour of the north! shocked lipsrsealed

Nnamdi Azikiwe is from Onitsha I'm Anambra state please do your research well op. And people arguing about prime minister and president which one is higher. the prime minister is answerable to the President. The president is the Head of state (country),while the prime minister is head of only the Government. check Russia, Turkey and British government, The prime minister reports to the president or head of state, the head of state who is also head of Parliament makes law, and can supercede the prime minister,

Dude, in the Parliamentary system of Government Head of Stae = President while the Head of Government = Prime Minister.
Zik was the president not Balewa and this thread is talking about the presidents.

@OP
Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe of blessed memory is from Inosi Onira clan of Onitsha in Anambra State not Enugu State.
Thanks.

Actually, Prime Minister answers to the president but he is more active in running day-day Executive government activities.

Zik was not like the Queen of England because Queen was not elected, Zik was!
