One thing that Marvels me most is,after all these hard working in abroad they still have nothing to show ..80% of houses, lands, malls, properties, investments, businesses in nigeria are owned by people residing in Nigeria. Only 1.1% investment here are owned by Nigerians in UK,Germany, and so called USA then 17.9% are owned by our Able G boys in Asia.

Please who can help me explain the reason behind this abracadabra undecided
Where did you pull these figures from? My entire street in Abuja is owned by people abroad including the 2 major hotels in the area. Same at my friend's estate in Magodo Lagos. Still I won't come here & be pulling figures from my ass.

Try your lies again. Yorubas have been immigrating to study in the US ever before you igbo people even knew what school is. If you’re talking about academia, sports, music, entrepreneurship, professionals (blue and white collar) etc, Yorubas dominate USA and the UK - undeniable fact! Yorubas don’t just dominate among fellow Nigerians, nay, they dominate heads and shoulders above the entire African continent, and even the entire Black race, second only to AA people! But if you’re talking about drugs, fraud, and number of people in prisons, which I presume you are, then yes, I agree with you, you igbos are number one hardworkers in this regard. Everywhere you go, trouble follows grin
Despite this my reply not being tribally motivated, there is no statistical evidence to back up your claim up there...Ever wonder why Hollywood movies use Igbo names frequently to represent Nigerian characters? same with Yorubas...They are equally matched in number in diaspora but one may be more than the other but only just but no statistical backing so it is inconclusive

We yoruba muslims know that they are talking about Ibos. We yoruba muslim hardly travel out of oshogbo and ogun because of our fear fear attitude. The few yoruba christians that travel are not up to Ibo population in USA.

These ibo peope sef. Always besting we yorubas. This is why we must not let them have biafra, they will build their Biafra with vengeance and be sending food aids to IDP camps in Oduduwaland through BIAFRAID if we allow them.

That's true - but that picture does not capture most children of Nigerian immigrants as they are born American citizens and their official documentation won't reflect Nigeria though they can always get their Nigerian passport. So our people see them as Nigerians as they attend church services and other events with their parents as Nigerians but the system sees them as Americans. So by Nigerian blood we may be looking at between 1 million & 2 million people, still a very tiny figure in a nation of over 300m people.
300m? Who give una? You guys have suddenly jumped from 200m population to 300m? Na wa for you oo.

Is it that you don't understand simple English sentences or what? Can't you infer from his write-up that he was referring to the population of USA and not Nigeria?

Bullshit... we should be number 1 on that list. We are the most highly-educated and driven immigrant group.
I hope they are not just looking at dish washers and taxi drivers in their evaluation: a lot of Nigerians are surgeons, architects, engineers, bankers, scientists and professors, and the majority of them earn awards in their professions. Which kind number 8, behind Kenya or Australia?

Our ranking was lowered by the docile nappy North. If the contribute the way Igbos and Yorubas do in intellectual reasoning, I bet you, Nigeria could rank 1St. Nonetheless, Igbo first, Yoruba second in America. Hardwork pays! #Stop drug peddling #Stop Yahoo-Yahoo/skull mining

That guy's ignorance is really disturbing. Diaspora cash inflow is what is keeping many states afloat in Nigeria. I know how many people abroad that have bought land here in Owerri through me. When you see a building under construction here in Owerri, whether hotel, hostels or other big investment going on at the moment, chances are that the money is coming from abroad either through an immigrant or through yahoo guys operating from Nigeria. How many people in Nigeria today can cough out as much as 40 million naira to invest?? Even for other things like burials, weddings, footing of hospital bills etc, most of such money still comes from people abroad. There is hardly any family in Igboland today that does not have people abroad. I have a brother and sister as well as uncles and cousins in the US alone and same is applicable to many other families across Igboland. Nigeria would have been in serious trouble if not for remittances!!

Nwaforj44:
Global business magazine, Bloomberg has ranked Nigerians working in the United States as the eighth most hardworking foreigners in that country.

In a 2018 report released yesterday, Nigerians scored 71.0 percent in the list of the hardest and most skilled immigrant groups in the US which was topped by Ghana with 75.2 percent.

Bulgaria and Kenya were ranked second and third with 74.2 percent and 73.4 percent respectively. Other African countries in the report’s top 10 are Ethiopia (4th), Egypt (5th), and Liberia (9th).

This makes Africans in general the most productive immigrants in the US ahead of those from Mexico and Central America, who constitute more than 70 percent of foreign nationals in that country.
Mexico is by far the most common country of origin, but the population of Mexican immigrants in the U.S. (both documented and undocumented) actually fell 6 percent from 2007 to 2015, according to the Pew Research Centre.
The numbers of Salvadorans, Hondurans and Guatemalans in the U.S. continued to grow.

“If we want more high-skilled, hardworking, English-speaking, ready-to-integrate immigrants, it looks like the most obvious place to find them is in African countries where English is widely spoken,” Bloomberg journalist Justin Fox, who came up with the report, said.
The report, developed from the 2016 US Census Bureau American Community Survey, ranked Nigeria 8th among the Most-Educated Immigrant Groups in the U.S.
Nigeria sandwiched between Australia (7th) and Malaysia (9th).
The report put the number of Nigerian legal immigrants in the U.S. at 262,603.
According to the report, Kenya, Nigeria, Nepal and Ghana have the highest number of citizens pursuing higher education in the US after Saudi Arabia.
Immigrants from Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana are near the top in both employment-population ratio and higher-education enrollment, it said.

Continue to display your ignorance since you have never stepped out of Nigeria before. In the different categories of work in the US, Igbos are no where to be found in blue collar jobs, you hardly see Igbo people doing them because it involves a lot of strength such as standing or sitting for a long time , mostly you see Yorubas and Edos doing these jobs. Igbos do not have such strength. However, when it comes to business like buying and selling that does not require strength, you will see many Igbo people there. For skilled professions including academics you will see every tribes of Nigeria there including northerners doing their bits. Stop arrogating unnecessary pride to your tribe, there's nothing special that you do abroad. Most of you Igbos always have problems with your employers here because of this same attitude you displayed.
