Buckor Akerele..I cannot forget the humilation she suffered in the hands of tinubu..She was locked out of her office and made to sit on the floor with her Aids standing beside her..I can never ever forget that picture splashed on the front page of the Punch newspaper in 1999/2000 or thereabout... grin grin

Her Political career ended thereafter
Madam Buknor was her own enemy. She dared her boss and publicly disrespected him. Tinubu had to cut her to size otherwise he wouldn't have won reelection.

As for Pedro, his own was a very funny event but I think he should have accepted the offer to go to the Senate (Jimi also)

Yes,they are all betrayals..I dont pity them one bit..She was claiming being older than Tinubu or something..I dont like people who wants to bite the fingers that fed them..I am a little bit closer to some politicians in Oyo state and i see their greed and i can only shake my head for them..People who are were nonetitites before the Ajimobi gave them some bearing decided to now turn against him..Too Bad!

Imagine Buknor, a Deputy Governor parading herself like she's an alternate Governor. Buknor would absent from office and SEC meetings without seeking permission from her boss. There was a time Tinubu went for a party function and instructed Buknor to oversee government, Tinubu was shocked to see Buknor in same event. Buknor would say "they are both on joint ticket". He had to take her out otherwise she'd have brought him down.

Me I think that the Gov/Dep should be split (and not joined), the Governor should have specific function ditto the Deputy (like it's done in the USA and elsewhere).

As for your comments on politicians, you are very correct. I remember when Ajimobi was fighting to reclaim his "mandate" from Akala in 2007 and so many people deserted him, only to return after he was declared winner in 2011. However, it doesn't mean Ajimobi has done no wrong though...

Good for her..I did not pity her one bit when she was showed the way out. .Pedro too.Arrant nonsense.

As for governors and their deputies,I believe the status quo should remain the same..Politicians should be the one to be patient and not too over ambitious..I guess you remember the case of the former deputy governor to Peter obi,Dame virgy Etiaba when Peter obi had issues then..

She wasn't like others who were greedy..she believed they were on a joint ticket and waited patiently till her boss came back from his illegal impeachment..

This is the type of outlook politicians should have and there won't be any problem sort of..

As for Ajimobi,He isn't a saint too like all of us,but the governor is the party leader and it should be..That's the way it is in the US.Donald Trump as stupid as he is,is the Party Leader and Republicans are afraid to call out his foolishness.

Virgy was a deputy nobody would wish to have.

When Obi was impeached illegally she quickly stepped in after vowing not to betray Obi some 2 hours prior. When Obi impeachment was upturned by the High Court and Appeal court, Virgy refused to vacate the seat, prompting Obi to head to Supreme Court to obtain victory. Even after that, Virgy through her son started antagonising Obi and Obi would later drop her in 2010 as his Deputy. Obi saw hell in the hands of Virgy/Uba/ANSHOA.

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe of Abia State.

Let me tell you a story; during the first tenure of Orji Kalu of Abia St, his deputy, Abaribe was a force to reckon with having come from the Ukwa-Ngwa axis. The ngwas had the highest voting block, highest seat at the house of assembly, had up to 11 local govt out of the 19 in abia. It was on record that OUK defeated Ogbulafor only with influence of the ngwas that supported his deputy. Abaribe was the running the govt, awarding contracts, filling up his people at strategic positions while the governor was more like a prime minister.

OUK wanted him impeached at all cost. He would send money to the house of assembly, they will accept it, share it and pass a vote of confidence on Abaribe. They loved him to the core.

Then one ngwa man, a very close ally to Abaribe did this e hatchet job. He met Abaribe and confided in him that the governor wanted to kill him right inside the government house. He told him the plan was to get some tugs to suffocate him and then claim he died of heart attack. He asked Abaribe to equip himself with a small pistol and be with it at all times.

Abaribe believed his kinsman, got a nice pistol for himself. He came with it for the monthly executive meeting. Then the hatchet man informed OUK that the plan had worked, Abaribe was inside the executive chambers of the government house with an unlicesenced arm.

During the meeting, OUK told his commissioners that Abaribe was planning to kill him and had perfected his plans. In fact, that he was there that morning with his gun to shoot him. At that, security t agents swooped in on Abaribe and recovered the gun.

That was the end of Abaribe's reign as deputy governor. He was forced to resign rather than being impeached since it was an impeacheable offence.

He later started the 'Otu Onu' movement that contested against the 2nd tenure of the governor. OUK was scared like mad that he would lose the election. His only Savior was INEC. TA Orji then was the INEC chairman in Abia. He assured OUK that irrespective of what the votes reads, he would alter the results and announce him the winner.

This was exactly y what TA Orji did for OUK. He was made the chief of staff by OUK as a reward of that. Later, he was made the governor.

My people, that was how my state was sabotaged on the alter of politics, no meaningful governor, nothing.
My GOD !! This is a Monumental Piece..

It made 99.100% sense. Why are you not challenging the fact that TA Orji was once a career civil servant (INEC official) before his meteoric rise to the post of COS to the gov
