Handsomegod:
Purehuman. I followed your update on Igbo political realignment in view of 2019 and 2023 elections vis creating a bargaining force politically. As much as I know Nigeria is not salvageable and will never work, creating such avenues within the intervening period is sound thinking coming from you. I guess one of the mixed blessings the current rogue regime and it's attendant offence on Igbos is to raise pro-igbo consciousness. The political fall out is the anathema status of APC in the south East. It then presents an opportunity for APGA,being a pro-Igbo party in ideolgy and form to capitalise on this. I forsee most of the Igbo big wigs joining APGA and building it as a bargaining platform as Nigeria gets more hopeless and complicated. The country tire person jare

That will be the best way forward because we have always played the third feather in all political parties we have joined. Even in the so-called PDP, our people seem not to be powerful in it while the northerners and south south people have taken the whole juicy positions.

We need to re-identify ourselves and regroup for us to make any headway in this contraption.

Re: . by Purehuman(m): 5:35pm On Aug 26, 2018
We have to check the permutations very well before December. Will PDP win next election? We are not going to vote based on who will change this country but who will win easily from the look of things. That person, good or bad, we are going to meet so that we can meet them with our offers.

We have been playing third fiddle all these years, it's time to be smarter.

As you see APC winning elections in the west even with the opposition having better candidates, APGA will win elections in the east because even unintelligent politicians will look intelligent under a platform that has a working template.

This political force is for us to get something from the political side of our people and always make our interests heard in the federal level.

Our major aim is to get an atmosphere that can make us thrive easily without any stumbling block from the centre and also get a piece of the cake from the centre too.

Our major source of funds for development will come from the people and that's where the other options will come into play.

Don't ever compare APC dominance to that of APGA. A very high number of Yoruba politicians moved to APC and that is why APC is very strong in the SW. APC has Fashola, Tinubu, Fayemi etc unlike APGA that lacks notable Igbo politicians like Peter Obi, Sullivan Chime, Ngige Chris, Ogbonnaya Onu etc. APGA today is surviving only because of the likes of Obiano and Soludo and this is just in Anambra alone. Until Igbo politicians move to APGA, APGA will remain irrelevant in the Nigerian political space.

I am of the opinion that we need to see Buhari off to Daura.

For one, he is not of good health.

In a country of over 180 million people, we have an 80-something years old man leading us.

Also, I think keeping Buhari is yoruba game plan, in hope that he dies and Osinbanjo take over.

Yoruba are the ones that dont want Igbo Presidency, nobody else.

Re: . by hammer6F: 5:41pm On Aug 26, 2018
We have as many Yorubas wanting to be President as we do have Northerners.

Osinbanjo, Tinubu, Sowore, Fayosi, Fashola and Co.

These are the same people that keep working against the emergence of Igbo presidency and will openly tell u that they will not vote an Igbo man.

I believe if Nigeria was just Igbo and the North, the presidency would be far easier.

ANPP was also irrelevant while it kept coming second in the presidential elections. A party or organisation can only progress through hardwork and not the number of top politicians in it. If we can work on the grassroots again and maybe work with a bargain with IPOB, we can get the numbers.

If they find out the people are behind APGA, they will naturally want to join because they will want to win elections. The truth is that, we don't want them in APGA.
