Telling the interviewers how you can add value to their organisation, improve and add value to their processes, how your presence in the position gives an edge over competitors etc, etc gets you the job.

Be smartly dressed with what you have.

Try that in a Nigerian bank and you won't even get in to be able to tell them how you can add value to the company.

Just try and look corporate... Absence of suit doesn't mean u can't be corporate.. I once attended an interview with France soccer jersy and I got the Job....story for another day..

Yes, an interview goes beyond dressing, but there are industries where HOW you are dressed is extremely important and there are even some companies where if one does not dress appropriately, s/he loses the job.

Not everything in life follows regular procedure. We breath through our nose but we can also breath opening our mouth. FY1 it was corporate Job and even with one of the best in the industry. I agree with u about how u are dressed during not only an interview but even meeting etc. But there are always exceptions no matter how corporate the atmosphere may be!!!
Same with my current Job..my dressing was not 100% if I should consider the importance of the interview.

I don't usually dress corporate to any interview, am not a fan of plain material pants so I just wear my chinos n long sleeves sometimes tucked in sometimes not...it's what u have to offer not ur dressing

See you.. some interview appearance realy judge I went for an interview recently I wore a white longsleeve and a. Chinos trowser the interviewer told me that. He is realy impress with me that but he will disqualify me in one. He told me I shouldn't be wearing Chinos on.anytime am going for interview. Mehn na so my mind cut.. well after all I was stil qualify for the second round sha..apeareance realy matter my brother.
