My mum, mil and two other people thinks it's 'alefo', she said its normal for chubby babies. Not that my baby is so chubby like that, she's average size.

I'm tired of giving her antibiotics. What can I do to stop it.

As in the pic, There are a few of this on her arms and legs too. One or two on her back and stomach.

Do you think it might be an insect bite? Looks like one to me sha. Doesn't look like boil to me.
Or it might be a slight allergy.

I can only suggest that you keep encouraging interactions with others. Stop rushing to pick up the child when she cries.

It is alefo thats what I was told when my son had the same tiny boil like ish . Antibiotics did nada! It will relief it and comes back again. And yea it does itch especially when the weather is hot and he sweats.


Ours disappeared at near age 2, I was told to go herbal and stop all Oyibo stuff on him. I used original plan kernel oil and black soap for him ( he became dark though but I saw results and was satisfied).


I was made to drink agbo don't know the mix again cos the woman says it's In my milk also that as long as I breast feed that he will keep getting it.

Yes they also said it happenes to big babys or babies that will be fat .


Tips that helped me was Washing everything clothing with disinfectant, leaving him bare, calamine lotion for the itch and scars, apple cider diluted and used to rub his skin ( this hurts) red acalypha flower to bathe him.

In all I cant say which worked or if he out grew it, but antibiotics sure didn't help.

Clean the outer ear only! Don't put cotton bud inside your baby ears o.


The smell might me bathing water in the ear? Or something else. I'd suggest you take him to doctor for proper check.

baby rash or baby acne usually clears by itself, wait till your baby is 2 months before using anything incase persist.

Please see a Dr and avoid cleaning the ears.

Maybe is your period ma! It happened to me after my first baby. It was immediately we came back from our 6weeks immunization, just for me to wee, I saw my August visitor coming out. Lol and behold, I was so confused and angry cus I thought it was another bleeding only for me to Google it and noticed it was my period.

My baby is 3weeks old and I notice she's gassy because her Tommy always grumbles and make noises during feeding and she always struggles whenever she wants to poop which always come out with force and sound though she poop 3 - 4 times within 24 HR and she's not constipated. She spits up too after every feeding. Also her breathing always look as if she has cold.. I have complained to the doctor about the later and he gave us antibiotics and vitamin c... Pls is all this normal for newborn?

Make your child independent by taking her to a standard creche where she will be occupied and learn more

Stop giving her antibiotics,the immunization is strong enough . She is about teething soon so the boil is just her own reaction .just apply Shea butter on the boil spot at intervals and stop worrying. You can give paracetamol I'd she has temperature
