Lie of the highest order, that's how she want the world to see Nigeria, Nigeria population is about 190 million and she is saying close to 50% is living below 1$ ( 350#) per day. . .

And some people will still say it's true. . . Just wow
And she went further to say "in the world "

Mr Man, Your own organization in Nigeria, the NIGERIAN BUREAU of STATISTICS said in 2012 that 60% of Nigerians were living in poverty and would increase further, and you are here beefing what's True.

Remove the log in your eyes first, before you talk about the speck in your brothers eye.

NBS stats alone is enough to tell how broke Nigerians are.

Daddy freeze have been saying these for long, but no one seems to care. We have surpassed India in the poverty rate, even if our population is less than 20 percent of the Indians.

With all our churches, somehow we are still poor. Pathetic

will it change the facts that Nigerians has the poorest citizens in the world? Lmao...keep supporting useless politicians that have sold your future and secured the future of their children.

Shut up Theresa May. Shut up, you may fool Buhari coming to you for medical care not REAL NIGERIANS.

Very big lie. How can you say this when there's India, Bangladesh, Philippines, and most nations in south east Asia and the Americas. Well if she's saying this based on population density then India is far ahead.
Based on population density and GDP, India ranks higher than Nigeria. Nigeria's GDP is about $400bn as against $2.27tn Indian GDP. Nigeria has no logical reason to be so poor especially when we have oil. May has a point

Rubbish talk ... myself and my family we re not one of them and my good people here on nairaland will never be one of them. Poverty is a choice, even America accommodates them and loves them.too bad America , UK, Canada, Dubai is improving their countries with looted funds. Our useless politicians will never know peace by the grace of God.

Come Madam May, please go back to UK from SA. We don't need you and your useless unverifiable negative statistics here in Nigeria. We are poor yes, but not the kind of doom you peeps think we are in. There are many homeless peeps in UK, go back and take care of them. Your country is the Architect of the problem called Nigeria
your greed, you people came and stole our resources and created an unworkable country without recourse to the indigenes.

Creat 50,000 new jobs per day in nigeria? That's not possible. The dullards and selfish criminals we have as leaders don't have the brain to do that. Talk about losing 100,000 jobs per day and i will believe u. Its only a fool that thinks our leaders care about us.............. the mod that banned me should better tell me what my offense was or else!

She has yet to touch down in Nigeria and she's already running her mouth. All these whites and their boundless pride and disrespect for the blacks. The way they run down Africans churning out poverty figures from their mind, you'll think there are no poor, homeless people among them too. But alas the reverse is the case.
Why are Nigerians on Nairaland so anti-Nigerian unlike what obtains on Twitter? Why can't we talk back at these imperialists, and leave out local politics aside, some times? Trump's reported comment about Buhari that filled the cyberspace yesterday should have received a widespread condemnation and trolling of Trump from us, but no, Nairalanders would rather insult their president more.

The only US president who ever spent three terms in office, Roosevelt, was a crippled who ruled from wheelchair, but he saw America through the Second World War.
You are very correct.
Majority of the comments on this forum are borne out of hatred for Buhari and his political affiliate by some people who are not well cultured and think that life is bed of roses in abroad where they are classified as illegal citizens.

Is sad that instead many youths like would hear truth and instead of joining thoughts and actions to make things right, they would rather play the racist card. SMH.

Lifeless is the word few wailers keep shouting now... what did pdp achieved for 16 years in power? Shambles, even with what this current admin have achieved so far with projects all over the country... we won't have been here. Pdp creates this mess in the first place.
With regards to buhari, Lets wait and see the candidate from them (pdp) until then buhari still have my vote.

Nigerians on nairaland are very pro-Nigeria, if you are looking for Nigerians that are anti-Nigeria, look for Buhari and the oligarchy.
Nigerians aligned with Trump because he echoed the collective frustration of Nigerians with our current government.
The majority of Nigerians on nairaland are nationalists not psychophants and that is why Trump's reported comment will not draw any widespread condemnation from us
