I Need Someone To Solve This Chemistry Question For Me by Timijo(op): 6:59pm On Aug 28, 2018
Please I someone to solve this question.
3.0g of a mixture of potassium carbonate and potassium chloride were dissolved in a 250cm3
standard flask. 25cm3
of this solution required 40.00cm3
of 0.01M HCl for neutralization. What is the
percentage by weight of k2CO3 in the mixture? (k = 39, O = 16, C = 12)

These ones are Physics questions can anyone solve them
1. A bullet of mass 20g travelling horizontally at 100m/s, embeds itself in the centre of a block of
wood 1kg which is suspended by light vertical string 1m, calculate the velocity
Re: I Need Someone To Solve This Chemistry Question For Me by Timijo(op): 8:23pm On Aug 28, 2018
2. A car moving with a velocity of 20m/s at 30o
to the horizontal, what is the components of the
velocity along the horizontal.

9.2% check your molar concentration it appears to be too small maybe it's 0.1M HCl. Gracias

Your horizontal component is given as Ux= UCos30 = 20Cos30 = 17.3m/s

M1V1 + M2V2=V(M1+M2)

20/1000(100) + 1(0)=V(20/1000 + 1)

2=51V/50

V=100/51m/s

V=1.961m/s

Here is another one.
A 15kg monkey hangs from a cord suspended from the ceiling of an elevator. The cord can withstand a tension of 200N and breaks as the elevator accelerates. What was the elevator's minimum acceleration (in magnitude and direction)? Take g=10.0ms-2
THANKS SIR

Re: I Need Someone To Solve This Chemistry Question For Me by Timijo(op): 3:57pm On Aug 29, 2018
xharles15:
N1 V1 = N2 V2
N1=?
V1=25cm3
N2=0.01M
V2=40 cm3
N1 = (N2 X V2) / V1
=(0.01 X 40) / 25
=0.016M
Reacting mass of K2CO3 = Molarity X Molar mass
=0.016 X 138 = 2.208g
% composition = (2.208 / 3.000) X 100
=73.6%
Thank you so much.

It's been a while. Let's see...
The maximum tension it can withstand should equal a summation of all of the experienced forces ( The weight, first and foremost, in addition to the force due to upward acceleration)
If you subtract the weight (15 X 9.8MS-1 =147N) from the maximum permissible tension, (200N - 147N = 53N), you are left with the upper limit of the permissible force due to upward motion. The maximum acceleration is then, this value divided by the mass of the monkey 53/15 =3.53ms-1.

T=m(a+g)

200=15(a+10)

200=15a+150

15a=50

a=50/15

a=3.33m/s²
