Thanks

I know you from the Manitoba group (Yo~). That's by the way.

- Processing times may vary between 6 weeks-6 months. I was surprised to see one of 6 weeks not long ago, for Ontario. I believe that was super fast
- Choice of medicals is okay
- I think you should proceed to get the PCC already. Why tarry when ITA is sure? Choice is still yours anyway
- When you say documents, which do you refer to? I'm assuming work reference letters. If that be the case, you can still make use of them, provided they come in the format prescribed by CIC.

Oh okay thanks. Let me work on that

quote author=o2 post=70703773]Congrats on your nomination. I was nominated by Manitoba too. Processing time cannotb be confirmed. Ranges from 19 to 200 days and longer in some extreme case.

Your plan for medical and PCC is perfect. For the documents I personally got it readdressed because I feel it is not professional to address any letter to a body with another body's address on it.

It is better you address to IRCC or To whom it may concern than sending a letter addressed to someone o another person. Its like writing a love letter to Tosinn and address it to Rukayat. No be gbege be that grin

1) Her assessment is to be done by PEBC as a Pharmacist if she wants to continue practice over there. And I don't PEBC will require WAEC. If she doesn't want to go tru the whole PEBC process for now, she can assess with other bodies, like WES shd also give her an equivalent of professional degree. If she is doing the WES option , then she also needs WAEC

She can only forgo PEBC if her work experience isn’t in NOC 3131.

What is the step-by-step procedure to apply for Canada PR?

Hi,

I did the following

Got my IELTS score. The Score was 9- 8–7.5–7.5

Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) tool: skilled immigrants (Express Entry) - went here and checked my CRS score it was 478 for myself and 468 when I included my spouse ( my wife was pregnant at that time).

Did my Education Credential Assessment from World Education Services at https://www.wes.org/ca/. I applied for this and wrote IELTS in parallel it took more than 30+ days to get the doc in hand.

One I had both IELTS score and education assessment I was ready to apply for the PR.

Applied for PR through express entry program at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada | Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada.

Horrified to see my CRS score got dropped to Bleep points. Found out that since I had work experience among different NOC, CIC only took my recent NOC experience and reduced my points.

Luckily got ITA in the next draw itself, minimum score was Bleep.

Now it was the time to get all the required documents such as

medical certificate for both my wife and myself.

police certificate for both

experience certificate for both.

proof of funds statement.

Submitted all documents and paid fee for PR processing and right for permanent residence.

Once again horrified to see a message saying my application got cancelled after 3 weeks. The reason being I have not submitted documents for my new born baby since.

The baby is only 1 month old when I submitted application for PR.

I have foolishly mentioned I have minor son in family details then only applied PR for myself and my wife. ( I thought I would change application once I get documents for my baby).

Reapplied express entry on the same day of rejection.

Again got ITA the next day itself, the minimum score was 441.

Got all documents for my baby.

Resubmitted all the documents and repaid the PR processing fees for 3 ppl this time.

Lesson learned, even if double / triple check everything something might always go wrong. Do not loose heart and keep at it.

Could you explain more on the bolded??

Thanks for your story. I have always maintained we need stories of rejection so people can learn.

See the bolded. First time I'm seeing someone's point drop because of using different NOCs. Are you sure that was the reason? I have a friend who is about to apply who is using 2 NOCs.

Quebec wahala too much jare with their French stuff.

While searching for jobs online, I keep seeing so many jobs adverts from Quebec, so many unfilled positions. But people seem to be avoiding there especially once it is not Montreal where you can still find some English speakers.

It is possible they tried to combine a NOC C work experience and that was dropped. Can @v3 confirm this? I used 3 diff NOCs (no PPR yet but my points weren't dropped during profile creation like the OP described)

It is evaluation by document, NOT by course and it costs $207 if you use standard mail.

Use your NECO.

My honey bunch; you see life is all about perception. Itsawonder feels that if you do not have a question to ask you should not respond to a PPR announcement. In my small corner here; I mostly feel people that ask questions immediately after are selfish. Is he right or wrong ? NO. Am I right or wrong ? NO.

However, such opinions are better kept to one's self because at best, it is just an OPINION, there is no need to castigate or be nasty to anyone. It really does not cost anything to be nice. People may forget what you say but they will never forget how you made them feel.

Thanks a lot!

Hi @Toyogirl,

I’d like to please send you a message re Accra VO/Interview process.

Basically want to find out how you first found out you needed an interview and what you then did( if anything) to get the interview date.

I saw from your profile that it took about 5-6 weeks between when you knew about the interview to when they actually called you?

Regards,

BoboXIV

Some people have the aptitude for languages, in 3 months of study, they'll be speaking like natives.
This is an incentive for such people to take french a little more seriously. There's nothing as sweet as being spoiled for choice with jobs.
I wish I had the flair for languages, Quebec sounds like a dream

Higher taxes than other provinces though. Though to balance it, things seem to be cheaper and there is a lot of support for children.

I'm learning French too sha. I don't really have an aptitude for it, I mean I've been learning it for years now and not gone far. But the benefits of speaking it outweigh more than living in Quebec. As long as you are in Canada, having French in your arsenal seem to be advantageous.
