From my experience, a low income doesn't demonstrate a strong tie irrespective of being sponsored or not.
what if his income improves & changes in his new DS-160 form after make five months to 120k, will it be suspicious, when his profile is checked, he was denied 5 months back, thanks,

I am afraid that your visa might be rejected again.
What justifiable reason will you give the visa officer for staying out of school since 2011? This question will definitely come unless by miracle
To increase your chances, get a bachelor's degree here in Nigeria and then go for your Masters in US.
Also be prepared to explain why your visa was rejected and why you are suddenly going for a student visa.
You right. But its second degree she wants to go for

If you have a bachelor's degree please proceed to Masters. The visa officer will ask you why you are going for another bachelor's degree. If you are changing field you will need to explain why. Save yourself this questions which they already know the answers you can give by going for Masters degree.

Chances are slim. Apply into graduate program for your field and you could choose to switch when you get to the US.

Good evening everyone!

I'm new here and I know that I should read up the previous pages, which I'll definitely do.

I currently live in Germany and would be done with my masters degree program (Applied and Engineering Physics with specialisation option in Energy Science) next year by God's Grace. I humby solicit for all the support and advise that I can get here concerning schools, scholarship, etc.

I'm yet to decide on the schools to apply to, though I have a few in mind. I plan to apply for a PhD in Physics in the US or for an Msc program in Energy Science.

Is there anyone here currently studying Physics(Preferably Engineering Physics) at the masters degree level or doing a PhD in Physics or in the energy field?

I look forward to a favourable response from y'all.

After selecting schools send mails to course coordinators and inquire about funding opportunities. This is especially important if you would be going for a PhD. For this case, you should be focusing your resources on communicating with Professors in your field at your prospective schools even before applying formally. Most times PhD admissions come with full funding not sure about MSc these days in case of doubts ask the program coordinator

I just picked up my passport with F-1 visa in it in Lagos. Unfortunately, I will not be able to join the class anymore and my program coordinator and Associate Dean advised me to defer to next semester, Spring 2019. Classes started August 20th.

Now, I'm even thinking of getting admission into another school cos I'm not satisfied with the standard of the school I got the visa with.

If I get admission, can I use the visa to enter US and then transfer to the school?

Kindly advise.

PhD student.

Visa approved, aug 30.2018,
My first attempt, got to the embassy at 6, we were lined on a queue after checking of document, we entered the hall about 7, joined various queue till I got to the consular front, I cant really tell how many minute it was but it was really fast, it like when u are facing a cashier at the banking hall, she sit but you are standing to answer a question, I was interviewed by the lady in window 8.
Transcript would be sent later
Thanks to everyone who submitted their transcript, it was very helpful as I have been a silent follower on this platform. My advice to applicant is have a statement of purpose as to why you are doing the course, make them know you are coming back to Nigeria. Read about the school and the course u are doing most especially the course u would be taking. Finally pray and be confident, don’t allow peoples blue paper increase ur tension, praise God for the victory he has given you even before u go to the consular front.

@Glocal1, not going back for now, a lot has to change before I go back. Focusing on a lot in Naija for now, spent too much already and man must be wise about this.
That would be a good decision. However, do not give up on your prospect of graduate studies in the US.
If possible, enrol in Nigeria for a MSc, and graduate with a PhD grade. You can then apply for fully - funded PhD in the US.
Work and improve your savings account. Improve on other areas of life while still in Nigeria.
On the other hand, you can improve on your profile by re-writing the GRE and TOEFL to improve your scores and increase your chances of admission to top tier schools.
Search for funded programs.

You are at your prime, don't just give up.

I sincerely wish you the best.

Hello everyone, my visa was approved on 13th August. I should have posted this a while ago but the past weeks have been very demanding with me having to resume school with a short time to prepare. My i20 start date was 20th August. I am settling in well now and I just know I have to post my transcript here because I have also benefited from this forum. I got a denial in July but had another interview in August. I was directed to go to the window of the same VO that interviewed me previously and I was concerned why the same VO was interviewing me. She asked why I chose my course but I answered her with no confidence at all and I began to panic. she typed for a while and then said to me "oh I interviewed you the last time" I said yes and she called for an officer to redirect me to another VO. I took that as a second chance and I continued praying under my breath. I was eventually directed to a male VO. Here is the full transcript

Where are you going?
I am going to ETSU for my masters in Public Administration

Why did you choose this course
I chose Public Administration because I want to be able to consult for public agencies in the future

Run me through your academic background
I have a bachelors in political science and I also have a certification in accounting. I am an affiliate of the association of chartered certified accountants in the United Kingdom

Did you apply to other schools apart from this one
Yes. I also applied to Ohio University

What does Ohio University have in common with ETSU
I am very particular about the financial emphasis of this MPA degree i want to pursue. The courses that Ohio University offered placed a high emphasis on finance just like ETSU. However, ETSU allows me to have a specific concentration in Public Financial Management

When did you get your bachelors
2016

Tell me about this certification from the UK
I had always wanted to be an accountant but I also love governance. In my first year in school I also enrolled as a student of ACCA. Because of my background in political science I had to take all the exams from the beginning. I completed 14 exams alongside my bachelors programs. (I mentioned the titles of some of the exams I took). And I completed both programs at the same time

Who is Olabode (My sponsor)
He is my uncle

How did you get your tuition scholarship
I submitted an essay on what inspired me to study MPA

Summarize the content of your essay
I had always known what i wanted to do from the beginning. when I began my first year in the university I knew I wanted to learn the financial part of governance so I also enrolled as a student accountant. I was able to complete both my degree and certification by the end of four years and this masters degree ties both fields together for me.

He approved my visa after this then asked when I had to be at school. While collecting the white paper I told him 20th and he said 'well you still have some time'. I smiled and told him to have a nice day

I am thankful to everyone that has contributed to this platform one way or the other. I also reached out to a couple of people here and they took their time to prepare me for the interview. Even though I was ill and at the hospital for about three weeks. God healed me just in time to be able to attend the interview. I apologize once again for taking so long before posting this. Thank you all
