I refuse to believe this story as it's one sided. However, looking at the characters of Christ Embassy members around me, I'm not too surprised.

They are the very worst of sinners.

Oga even of the story is 10 sided, why should it end up in someones death. Its just not ok

People who are saying half baked story. If you have been harassed by security men guarding churches especially camps and special programs you won't talk like this. I have witnessed a serious beating on someone by Church security guards over car park.

This was what happened
The guy already parked somewhere as directed by church security (I think a young volunteer). Later he wanted to pick up some things and left the park immediately but within 15 seconds on his way he was called not to worry, so he decided to return to his previous space which has not been occupied. The little security boy (around 15 years) said "no", he can't park there again that he have to go down far away to look for another place to park (I guess abuse of power of wearing a security mantle and all those confidence given them).

The driver was amused and asked why? Before a twinkling of an eye the boy called other security men, accusing that the guy was refusing to comply to his directives. Without hearing anything, they started landing him heavy slaps and blows. Dragged him in his vehicle to their security post (I followed the driver there).

Men come see as other security men were beating the helpless guy with heavy slaps like thunder. You know what? Tears started rolling my eyes uncontrollably. The guy was detained till the next day and was extorted sum of N5000 as he was threatened that he would be directed to the police station with a charge of disrupting the camp meeting. (They have beaten him to the extent he has to be gentle to comply. He could protest) because once he tries to explain anything he get beaten. It wasn't funny.

Not only the guy was beaten mercilessly but every men taken into the security post. I saw a guy who was accused of using laptop in the church. He was beaten mercilessly. I was just crying that if this was a dream because I could not believe such things we're happening in church programs.

Funny enough. One of the street thugs was caught drinking alcohol in the premises. He was taken to the station but they did not touch him. The guy was acting like a drunk, he was even holding a plastic bottle of alcohol but they were afraid of him. It was innocent gentle looking people they only harass and threaten to deliver them to police headquarters with aim to silence them.

I forgive what I saw and I continued to attend the church but the guy in question who had the car stopped attending any church since then.

I only say this to proof that the incident May be 100 percent true. Churches should control their security guards.

Most people looking for other side of the story are only looking for possible justification of the crime and nothing else (possibly because a Church is involved). The case is a clear case of manslaughter, nobody gets death penalty for that. In a sane country, if an unharmed person dies as a result of battery, the assailant gets to face the music.

No matter how justified the security personnel might be, they've shed blood and must be punished.

Their security is now even more desperate and intense after the kidnapping issue a month ago.
