swift premium plus

i first opted for swift supreme - though they were upfront intelling me that it has no data cap but is throttled to 3MBps or rather 300kb/s
i paid , ran it could not deal, then switched to swift premium plus. it is good - up to 4mb/s and greater. about to start my night binge.
premium plus is faster than swift supreme?

Supreme is throttled

Not throttled, read there terms, it's cap on speed of 3mpb/s why the the premium is 5Mpb/s.

it is 300kb/s. that is throttling as far as i am concerned. they were open and upfront about it. 300kb/ is speed you can do very little with. i know because i paid 19k, maaged the plan for 25 minutes, then opted for a different plan.

Swift's unlimited plans are literally unlimited.
The speed you get depends on the price you pay though.
There's one capped at 3MB/S for 19,500 and one capped at 6MB/S for 25,000.

There's also Glo Oga Sim where you can get ~13GB for 2,500 but the plans are only available for 4 months as opposed to Ntel's 12 months, and Glo network is well... Glo, so your mileage may vary in browsing experience.

Note the 3MB/S actual never goes past 400kb/s
Same with the 6MB/S = almost 600kb/s. Apart from the speed throttling, it's unlimited

can't we just get a internet service in Nigeria that doesn't throttle again.

for most of last week, i have been on swift. the week before, i was using my glo [intended for my phone].
i was struggling with intel before this .My experienec with ntel - i bought credit, it did not load, but got trapped in my profile. i was somehow able to connect, but the connection came and went randomly. none of their complaint platforms is working. and the last straw - a guy i knew on the inside, a nairalander who could tell me what is up - has left.

if you have free cash, you can experiment, but trust me, they are effed, and i don't think they have any actual festac partners. forget that shop on 52 road.

3mbps is far enough if it's constant.. 400kbs isn't bad at all..

My office data is capped for users at 2mbps and I can say it make sense since you are getting same speed all the time that's 250kbs up and down..
I stream 720p YouTube without buffer, then 400kb will do better...

However swift merit is a bae, if you want to download the next generation at a very cheap price 3k

The 400kb max I have got is pretty constant, was able to watch Netflix all night with it without a single buffer.

The issue is if you use it on more than 1 device, any additional device is gonna cut the speed down. So let's say I connect my laptop, phone, smart Tv. I might get about 100kb on each. Now, any device connected after the initial 3 would not connect or browse as I have experienced numerously.

Whenever I wanna stream live match, I make sure I have only max 2 device connected and the second device is mostly idle or on light data usage.

Is this NTEL even a private company at all? Because they are behaving like a typical Government run organisation. How can your website and main portal be down for like a whole month! Like seriously? A Network Provider! It's sad

Lol.

Very useful perk o.

Register an account on ProtonVPN. Their free servers are reasonable. I think up to 2Mbps speeds

Choose the servers that support Tor. You just might get lucky. Don't tell anyone though. Quite easy to block that too

one month ke!!

its been at least 3 months now. the last 2 recharges have been olympics events for me.

now its not even possible to subscribe.

their shops around lagos are empty, just the random single staff in them. they don't even bother to power those offices.

last time i saw this was when Multilinks was going to go down.

if you ask me, i'd wager Ntel is on the ropes, and likely looking for buyers.

my problem now is way forward. I'd do swift, but those swift plans data volume no fit epp

Alternative for dstv. Is an online TV with lots of channels both sports, entertainment news etc. But you need internet for it to work.
I usually pay 7 dollars for monthly subscription. And 8 thousands for swift.

Break it down further, who do you pay the 7usd monthly? I have an Amazon fire stick and have kodi, netflix installed. I use these two apps pretty much but I know somethings are still missing.

Livetvindia.co.in is directing me to download an app from playstore. Also, what are channels you have, how many are they and how meaningful are the channels?
