nemesis8u:IIRC,it depends on the particular iteration the Saryu being a modular design ranging from 75m Coast guard patrol boat to Brahmos missile armed 105 m boat. ARRGGHHH! Can't find the link! Carrying a rapid fire 76 mm Oto Melara and 2 30 mm cannons can you really say she's underarmed? Edit! Just seen this: The Saryu class are 2200 tons,105M stealth (or atleast radar signature reduced) shaped ships. The propulsion systems are good enough for a respectable 25+ knots sustained speed. But they are tasked as patrol vessels and armed with a 76mm gun. With a 6000nm range, where are they going to patrol? Mumbai to Porbandar? If so, fine. Case closed. Dvora/Super Dvora/FAC class boats are enough for that, right? And this is Coast Guard territory, not IN.https://forums.bharat-rakshak.com/viewtopic.php?t=6166&start=3640 |

kikuyu1:total write off actually... Pics are very deceptive....flew about 40m in the air before hitting the ground.... Ended up 70m from the road. Fortunately only me in the car and didn't have a scratch on me. Had to actually climb a tree to get my cricket bag which flew out of the rear window. |

jln115:updated!! just got back from the insurance company and apparently I fvcking did a front flip before hitting the ground according to their investigator......now it makes sense why my cricket bag was stuck in a tree. oh and the cause was a tyre blowout.......Also accident happened on a gravel road. |

kikuyu1:Well as far as I can see only asw equipments and weaponry can go aboard on saryu. And maybe some point defence sam cannisters next to the ciws. Other than that no space left to other weapons like SSMs IMO. I guess they made these boats to act as a sacrificial ship incase of attack on the convoy. ![]() |

Everyone is as fan of the Gatling gun. First pic shows the 30 mm GAU 8 around which the A 10 was made. If you ever wondered about the weird engine placement the gun gases would cause engine blowout so they were moved back and placed high. The smaller 7.62 Gatling first used in Vietnam raised some questions-shown here is the GAU 17 crew version. It lacked the range and power of the enemy's .51s and 14.7 mm. It was used on the lighter gunships for suppressive fire that couldn't take a more effective .50 BMG . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGE23Uykd1Y They're common on USMC and army vehicles but imo,GPMGs are more effective at killing the enemy contrary to Hollywood style mowing down hundreds of enemy. Imo,it was a typically American move-the massive reservoir of logistics providing a measure of tactical adaptability. This must be why a 5.56mm Gatling came out in the 70s for the USAF who realised GE had suckered them. The Army had ZERO interest and the few XM 214s are now gathering dust in storage somewhere. They were also the only hand held Gatlings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4veQxu-NWM Frankly, you'd need to have serious paper to blow thousands of rounds every weekend or be at least mildly moronic to find it cool.

Very unique type of missile launcher , never came across such configuration elsewhere with foreign countries. One use is definitely ship borne , not necessarily military ship becz the system has its own recoil and stabilization system. Most probably to test DRDO ABM interceptors out at sea against 3000-5000 km range ballistic missiles. And they might get mounted on civilian ships Another use could be for fixed land sites albeit underground to launch the ABM interceptors

Yesterday LCA did its first mid air refueling trial. What it did was dry contact without actually transferring the fuel. In the coming days it will do the wet contact. LCA MK1 did the mid air refueling trial with an IL-78 tanker aircraft

Anyways this case was reduced to a fight between civil right groups versus the church and waqf board ( Islamists ) Good thing they lost. Interestingly Rigveda says "Vikruti Evam Prakriti" (diversity is what nature is all about or what seems un-natural is also natural or ...... or........) How u interpret it is is ur business, and in what context is also ur business. This is the strong point of Indic literature , the interpreter is in charge . And the big difference between Abrahamic and Indic thought . U got all the choice as a individual , the world revolves around u. And u don't get predefined what is right and what is wrong. Every body got a brain right so use it , make own choices and be human not a puppet ![]() |

In Sanatan dharma Ardhanarishvara represents the synthesis of masculine and feminine energies of the universe (Purusha and Prakriti) and illustrates how Shakti, the female principle of God, is inseparable from (or the same as, according to some interpretations) Shiva, the male principle of God. The union of these principles is exalted as the root and womb of all creation. Ardhnarishvara personifies the dissolution of sectarian strains and the adoption of a more holistic, all embracing worldview. Ardhanarishvara signifies "totality that lies beyond duality", that God is beyond the classification of male and female. It unifies all the dichotomies of Universe. It represents two conflicting ways of life which are needed for life to be created. Therefore, none can exist without the other. Let me tell you the story of what happened. Shiva was in an ecstatic condition and because of that, Parvati was drawn to him. After Parvati did many things to woo him and sought all kinds of help, they got married. Once they were married, naturally, Shiva wanted to share whatever was his experience. Parvati said, “This state that you are in within yourself, I want to experience it too. What should I do? Tell me. I am willing to do any kind of austerity.” Shiva smiled and said, “There is no need for you to do any great austerity. You just come and sit on my lap.” Parvati came and with absolutely no resistance towards him, sat on his left lap. Since she was so willing, since she had placed herself totally in his hands, he just pulled her in and she became half of him. You need to understand, if he has to accommodate her in his own body, he has to shed half of himself. So he shed half of himself and included her. This is the story of Ardhanarishvara. This is basically trying to manifest that the masculine and the feminine are equally divided within yourself. And when he included her, he became ecstatic. What is being said is that if the inner masculine and feminine meet, you are in a perpetual state of ecstasy. If you try to do it on the outside, it never lasts, and all the troubles that come with that are an ongoing drama. After all the reality is every male has varying degrees of feminity and every female has varying degrees of masculinity. Better accept the reality than fight it . Also proven scientifically. Interestingly Purusha and Prakriti r the concepts which was taken by Buddhist monks to China and gave rise to the Chinese version ie Yin and Yang. giles14:The only people who sh1t talk the F35 are those who have no idea what it is and no idea how projects work. Conve "B...but Its not that good" 20:1 K-D against F-16s at the last Red-Flag. F-16's have a *real life* K-D of 76:1. Run the numbers... if 1 F-35 has a K-D that is a factor of 20X greater than a platform with a K-D of 76:1... what kind of K-D can we expect from the F-35? "B..but muh $1 trillion" Now that it has entered regular production it is at $90 million per unit, its cheaper than its "competitors" (ie: F15E Strike-Eagle is over $100mil, ). Once extended production begins (production for US allies who bought it) per unit costs are projected to drop *below* $80 million per unit. which is the same price as the plane its replacing (F-16 Block 70 costs $80 million) Just as an indicator, here is an F-35 using IR to detect enemy ground targets from 30,000ft while flying at Mach 1.2. Oh, and the red-squares you see on the targets? Thats the FCS telling the pilot that it has worked out a firing solution and that he can engage... all he has to do is press a button. Oh, and he doesnt even need to move the plane to look at the targets, his helmet allows him to "see through" the floor of his plane. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHZO0T5mDYU If the above video doesnt have your jaw on the floor then you dont understand enough about aircraft to realize just what an earth-shattering advance this is.

And finally... "B..but its replacing the A-10 and the F-35 doesnt have the BBBBRRRRRTTTTT" Now it does, Gau-22 gun-pod if fully operationalised https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TR3f1iqS80 |
