Hahahaha, Gcam is not an essential app, it's a tweaked app, better use your device in peace if you are not into tweaking.

I did not root my phone , you can install it without rooting. I did all the process within 5min.. Except for bootloader unlocking which takes 72 hrs

1. Unlock your bootloader
2. Flash rtwrp (redwolf TWRP to avoid data wipe)
3. Install camera2api.zip
4. Install lazyflasher-no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip
5. Reboot your phone
6. Install Googlecam
Then start enjoying the beauty

There's even no specific time. In rare cases though. I have 5 packages that were dispatched since February this year, up till this moment, they are still stuck on shipped to overseas.

That's when Singapore post wants to act naughty though.
