Abba Kyari, chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, says he has instructed his lawyers to file a libel suit against one Bako Kyari who accused him of collecting a bribe.

On a radio programme recently, Bako, who identified himself as a nephew to the chief of staff, said Kyari and one Sani Ado, whom he claimed worked with the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), collected N29.9 million from him in order to facilitate the award of a contract.

However, in an email interview with TheCable, the chief of staff there is no truth in the “malicious story”.

“I have instructed my lawyers to take legal action against all those who have peddled this falsehood,” he told TheCable.

He also said no amount of mud “will stick or stain my integrity”.

“There is no iota of truth whatsoever even in dreamland in this malicious story. We cannot allow reasoned and reasonable debate to be hijacked by the frenzied fantasies of a cynical and dishonest minority,” he said.

“A lie becomes no less of a lie simply by repetition.”

He insinuated that there was campaign of calumny against him.

“I will continue to ensure that business-as-usual is unsustainable, ask questions and question answers – in the interest of our country, above any other consideration,” the said.

His accuser said he had written a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) but the commission refused to treat it, insisting that it could not investigate the president’s aide.

Bako, who is from Bama, Borno state, told Berekete Family that when he lost his father, Kyari came to commiserate with the family and then promised him the contract.

He said on getting to Abuja, he met with Kyari at Caledonia Hotel, Maitama, four times.

Bako alleged that Kyari asked him to pay Ado some money to facilitate the award of the contract.

He said he approached a friend who lent him some money, adding that he also sold his property in order to raise the N29.9 million which he allegedly used in facilitating the contract.

I'm very sure the accusers have enough damning proofs and evidences to make you swallow your pride and arrogance, if not Ordinary Ahmed Isah wouldn't have aired this episode on berekete.

Those the gods wish to incinerate, they first make mad.

The mtn case was a case of calumny and the handiwork of your detractors, and now this.

My only problem and fear in all of this is the above crossed statement in the quote. It is evident that the EFCC is simply ineffectual, independent and a tool for witch hunting dissents and oppositions.

But make no mistakes, all of una day go break well one day.

I truly hope he carries on his libel suit and we shall be entertained with more information on this and other sagas yet to be unveiled.

In a sane clime, you should have honourably resigned your position before coming out to clear the air on this shameful accusation of thievery and corruption.

We'll get there one day.

Make una go enjoy my siggy joor
Are you a politician or know anyone running for an elective position, one who cares about the youths and their well being in his State/ Constituency? Are you an NGO, an individual or business organisation who would want to make an impression on the youths by way of your CSR while also having an opportunity to create an image for yourself, business and organisation as one who refused to watch and not take action while the youths are wasting away. You have an opportunity to order for customised copies of my book in my signature. I am offering you a chance to put a picture of you or your organisation with the words" copy sponsored and supported by you/organisation" for distribution as you desire.
There is no better way to get your campaign statement or vision out there than through this book. There is no smarter way to advertise your business than this opportunity.
My contact is on my profile. Spread the word and let's take a stand and leave an indelible mark on the sands of history.

Guy you need to listen to this allegation if you are in Abuja. True the allegation is so strong with evidence and up till now the chief of staff did not come to the radio stations to defend himself as at of last week Friday the chief of staff called the elder brother of the accuser for him to refund his money to him

Just as the MTN saga was swept under the carpet, PMB will throw a blind eye to this.

To think that the present Chief of Staff to PMB is involved in contract scam is enough to step him down and prosecute him.

chief of staff to a president is almost like an executive assistant/secretary to the CEO in private sphere. in true sense, a secretary only act in the interest of his principal, all bribe collected or not wouldn't mean a thing if his principal doesn't assent or give authority. Now ask yourself why buhari decided to use a questionable smart banker with many years of banking experience as his chief of staff, perhaps to handle some kind of money perfectly without paper trail. Or why else would buhari place himself and Abba kyari as the board member of NNPC, and rumors and allegations have been flying of shady contracts left and right.

Both chief of staff and his accuser are all guilty. For him to come out openly and confess to giving a bribe, he is supposed to be jailed.

Good decision , meanwhile
10 REASONS WHY I WANT BUHARI REMOVED & JAILED:

1. He increased fuel price from ₦97 to ₦145 per litre: this is after he condemned former President Goodluck for same, what a hypocrite sad

2. Nigerian naira lost value to $; from ₦187 = $1 in 2015 under the much hated Goodluck's government, to $1 = ₦365: Buhari promised Nigerians during campaign that he will make sure Naira gains value against $, and infamously said he will make $1 = ₦1 if elected as president, but now, ₦ has no value...making it difficult for average Nigerians to go on vacation or tourism angry

3. Bag of rice went up from ₦8k to ₦20k under Buhari's 2 years in office

4. Insecurity increased in middlebelt: thousands of fellow Nigerians from Benue, Taraba, Jos, Kaduna, Sokoto, Zamfara killed mercilessly while sleeping while the government does nothing, who knows the next states or communities to be wiped out by his Fulani herdsmen brothers after he wins again in 2019; this is very scary to behold!

5. Innocent Nigerian youths who joined Nigerian Military killed daily by Boko Haram without any recognition: it hurts me anytime I hear that a gallant Nigerian youth soldier is killed by useless ragtab militant terrorist group, Boko Haram. It hurts me more when the government that ought to give these gallant soldiers a deserving burial and also compensate their family/loved ones as fallen heroes denies their death, and rather bury them in a mass grave, what an eyesore. Buhari a presumed retired military general will keep hiding and denying the death of our heroes just because of politics cry

6. Fighting corruption with corruption and nepotism: Buhari's useless style of using nepotism and corruption to fight corruption is stinking angry

7. Marginalization of great Igbo tribe: without the great Igbo tribe, Nigeria is nothing but a working corpse, so for Buhari to openly pronounce that he will not treat Igbo people equally like other tribes that voted him was his greatest mistake that he will live to regret >:

8. More looting of Nigeria's treasury under Buhari's watch: this is why Buhari needs to be impeached and jailed for deceiving Nigerians with "I will pight kworrupshun" while his tribesmen, his friends, his beloved supporters are busy looting Nigeria dry cry

9. Mass unemployment: ever since Buhari came into power 3 years ago, more than 5million Nigerians have lost their jobs, and it has become more difficult and in fact, impossible for young graduates without strong connection to get a job in Nigeria under Buhari's government!

Have you noticed the high rate at which Nigerians are running away from Nigeria to foreign nations as if there is war in Nigeria This is as a result of increasing unemployment, hardship, insecurity and hopelessness of Nigerians.

Do you know that very soon Nigeria won't have any capable doctor in our hospitals because most Nigerian doctors are running away from Nigeria due to mass unemployment and underemployment of doctors!

This cannot continue, Buhari has to go and if possible jailed or sent to ICC to face criminal justice in Hague! angry

10. Unfair appointments & aiding of open corruption: Buhari intentionally disrespected Nigeria's federal character in his political appointments and cabinet selection. He worsened it by appointing the wrong persons into the wrong portfolio, making them not to perform.

Again, for Buhari not to condemn Abba Kyari, Maina, Adeosun (for forging her NYSC certificate, a whole minister under Mr Integrity), NNPC GMD (for illegal award of $$billion contracts), then he doesn't mean well for Nigeria but after his personal interest.

Also are u aware that President Buhari is already campaigning for his wife's brother to become the next governor of Adamawa state

This is never done; how can a sitting president be campaigning for his relative openly even before party primary elections, what kind of human being is Buhari He is just after progressing Fulani tribe agenda and that of his family and close friends, such a man is not fit to be a president of a multi tribal and multi religious nation like Nigeria, he is better as a Fulani cattle rearers spokesman than a president angry

These are the 10 major reasons every well meaning Nigerian who want a prosperous, happier, safer, united Nigeria must stand up and vote out Buhari and ensure he goes to jail! angry

These are some of the issues that worries me about this administration! The accuser seems to know what he is saying and have solid proofs! However EFCC is proving to be a tool in the hands of the administration after all , going after whom it is told to go after!
