What exactly do u mean by that, so because sum1 is a pastor's child he or she cannot forge his own path in difference to the father? Or maybe you'ld have preferred he was a hypocrite..smh..
What exactly do you mean by maybe I expected him to be a hypocrite? His father is a role model to millions of people, so such behavior is not permissible for him. It would have been better he doesn't bear Adeboye.

There are too many people with childish mentality here. There is a difference between good music, bad music and obscene music.

Listen to Fela's songs. They are great and have a message that everyone should imbibe. Not a single word of obscenity will you hear in most of his great works.

Controversial son of the General Overseer Worldwide of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Leke Adeboye, has opened up on his love for Afro Beat Legend, Fela's music.

He made this revelation at a recent media parley organised by the management of the One Halleluyah Records (OHR), Tribune reports.

“Pastor Kunle Ajayi is my music mentor and we have been to different places to research on music. I won’t lie, I listen to Fela’s music a lot and by my assessment, his works are one of the greatest compositions you ever find in the world. You cannot get bored with his works. So, Nigeria has produced great musicians with good music and I am hoping we leverage on this fact

“Music is very important and it is beyond what is being pumped out to the society. It is beyond entertainment because it connects to the mind and has effect. This is why we are committed to support the gospel music industry, especially young talents from RCCG.

“Personally, I love rap music to a fault and I am happy we have a rap artiste under the label. I pray God will help us in achieving our dreams by supporting talents in producing works that will affect lives positively and win souls for the kingdom,” he stated.

Ajayi also acknowledged the commitment of Leke in floating of the label, as a platform for talents that will connect the world to God through inspirational music.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Label, Mr Lanre Oyegbola, however, hinted that the management and artiste were set to take the industry by storm, just as he noted that OHR was planning a tour of four cities and campuses under a programme tagged: Unbox Tour.

As a practicing Christian, I can't listen to Fela. The message his songs are passing across - exposing crooked politicians and how the citizens ought to resist them - is good. But the conduit is polluted; I can't imagine watching a video of his song and seeing him being swarm by innumerable ladies while he smokes weed to the praise of Satan. No. No. No.
But keep listening to your useless pastors. Christianity practice in Nigeria na scam. And as a matter of fact Nigerian pastors are fraudsters

Just wondering how cool Pastor Leke Adeboye is about having his children brought up on Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s music!? As if all the wisdom a Christian needs is not already domiciled in the Book of Proverbs!! Important to note that every piece of music carries a spiritual enablement (anointing) to accomplish its purpose whether Godly or otherwise depending on its source (inspiration). Some piece of music are designed to worship God and bring down His presence while others are inspired to invite demons and empowered for eroticism. David played music and it drove out the demons troubling King Saul. In contrast, in Matthew 14, the daughter of Herodias danced to a piece of music whose effect resulted in the beheading of John The Baptist. Marvin Gaye composed and sang “Sexual Healing” - some erotic piece of music that was so immoral only heaven has the record of folks who have been grossly defiled and ended up in immorality while listening to it! Among other reasons, the immoral song drove his Reverend Gentleman of a father Marvin Gay Sr. to shoot Marvin Gaye to death. Truth be told, Fela’s life was not commendable and ended disastrously and not unexpectedly with AIDS given his immoral lifestyle. Fela’s music was played at his shrine where Papa Adeboye didn’t bring Pastor Leke up. A man and his music are one and the same given that, as it is commonly said, “music is the language of the soul”. It follows that you cannot escape the influence of the soul of a man whose music you love. Something is not adding up here! Is that the person whose music should be loved and regularly listened to by a Christian? The bible says not to have anything to do with the unfruitful works of darkness but to rather rebuke them! If truly Pastor Leke Adeboye made the statement under review it is deserving of a rebuke for the sake of The Gospel! Thinking out of the box though, he probably meant to say that being one given to researching different music forms he listens to Fela’s music a lot in his bid to study them exhaustively. Pastor Leke Adeboye needs to clarify the statement. Seriously praying that youngsters who look up to Pastor Leke Adeboye will not stumble on this statement and stumble!
