I can name so many places where people could still have a meal with only N100 or N150..I mean one person, an adult. Let alone when you have to feed over a million people. Do you expect the cost per plate to remain the same?

While it is necessary for the FG to look into the complaint, we must also realise that they were not forced to join or remain in the program.

Don't forget that the program runs in more than 20 other states across the country.

Can #50 Naira even buy meat, or a cup of rice in the market? Only God knows the kind of concoctions this APC government are feeding children in schools, all in the name of playing politics. Can buhari give his own children, foods prepared with #50 Naira? Would his children even agree to eat such foods? I think this fake feeding program needs to be stopped, now. This is a big disgrace to Nigeria.

You refuse to pay the parents of these kids their salaries yet you claim to want to feed the same kids, just so you can award shady contracts and steal from the treasury. Evil leaders.

All this is not sustainable, look at the population and size of Nigeria, tomorrow after the elections are over they'll resort back to "It was not sustainable"...did the parents of these kids tell you they needed food or you just want to create another set of "lazy youths".

There was a time when free education plus good meals for school children would have been sustainable now is not that time.

Avenues for corruption and embezzlement is all this government has succeeded in creating with no added value to human capital development.

Wake up the industries and send the Nation back to work not impoverish the parents and toss dregs with the calorie value of crap on this children.

what were you people thinkin adopting democracy....??...you cant catch up with america without pilling up alot of debt....

as of today,america owes 20trillion dollars debt....you cant catch up like this....

I do not know the budget nor do I know how the deal was worked out but clearly this is not lagos!!!!!!!

If you read her statement carefully you will note that there was a time this money was ok..but now the price of food stuff has increased so I personally expect the government to look carefully and ensure that the vendors are taken care off..

This is an amazing idea -one that our pdp looters never thought off,what I would suggest is they reduce the NASS budget and use it for this program..a very laudable program.

I hope NASS doesn't come for your head...

People in such business, how well are they today?... have not seen a plumber send their children to a private university or have I seen a farmer who doesn't have to break his back because he can access funds to go into mechanized farming. People will go into those Job if they are can become better financially doing them.

where can one feed with #50 naira? the scheme, inasmuch as it may have some good intention is not feasible.

they weren't forced into the scheme so what is worth doing is worth doing well.

if we all return back to farming then price of food will drop quick....

price of rice is still not falling even till today with goverment import restrictions....why....??

i can tell una why....because una wan live like western people....you are not rich like western nations....

we should be the people bombarding them with food produce not the other way around....

thailand produce more cheaper rice,then we produce more and make ours even more cheaper than thailand....

before you know thai people would be buying our own rice....because its cheaper....life is a competition....

you must outcheap the other and still keep the quality somehow........

land is not the issue...i dont mean every nigerian must own land...farmers need workers too....its a win win business....

everybody need to eat....

how much are the farmers willing to pay workers? a paltry sum for clearing a whole farmland that won't be enough to treat them when they fall sick from such hard work

Nope. That part is the secret of the trade. When we get to that point I will tell you what I will do. #35 per plate is good enough. So long as the profit is not expected to come out of that #35 naira. Now they may fight for an increase in their profit and I will stand by them. Afterall waredrobe allowance for top ogas runs into millions every month. Feed the kids with it.
