Yea, you are allowed to take in snacks and drinks for your toddler.
It's at the discretion of the uber driver, the distance and how big your toddler Is, my toddler is two and I always insisted that she can be buckled to the seat.

Gloriouscrown:
Good morning mamas, please will I be allowed to carry snacks and drinks through the immigration for my toddler before we board?

Also while in Houston do I need to carry a toddler car seat along for when we go out with Uber.
Thanks

I applied through Abuja embassy.

I am so sorry to hear this...

In the last two years, the rate of refusals for missionary journey visas and post missionary journey renewals in ABUJA has increased.

Our dear Ugoguchy was refused twice in Abuja after having 2 children in the US but eventually got in Lagos. Almost everyone I know who tried to renew in Abuja after childbirth was refused.

It doesn't mean that they don't give visas to women with US citizen children...I did get in the same Abuja but it was a very nerve wracking interview.

Maybe you should try Lagos?
They seem more receptive.

Yes to question 1

Question 2. Depending on age you could get a booster seat which is more travel friendly .

Thanks a lot. I figured, but does it not seem like Lagos is a better bet. Although Abuja still has October dates.
You should reapply, same 6th Sept a pregnant friend got her visa in Abuja

Good evening everyone.
It feels so good to be back on this thread. I hope someone found my POE transcript and Dallas missionary journey experience useful.
I have a quick question please. My sister is due in November and she intends to give birth in Houston, but her husband is going for a training in New York this October. His interview is this week and she wants to submit her application after he has gotten his visa.
Do you think this is a good idea?
She is applying for a medical visa, does she need to change her hospital to a hospital in New York? Since that is where her husband will be attending the training. What is the best way to go about this?
Someone please help.
Thanks in anticipation.

In my opinion he should apply to go for his training in October while she does her houston stuff.
It only means they are not going to apply together so as to make it clear of their different activities.

Hello house! Good to see that there are still good people out there sharing there “missionary” experiences. I arrived Baltimore a few days ago and would once again like to share my experience. I renewed via Dropbox in Abuja and I was of course called for an interview which was rigorous! Officer asked for receipts from Atlanta and I made sure I carried zero balance, pediatrician receipts, doctors receipts, birth certificate. I got a discount for prompt payment as a self pay patient and I had to explain that to the officer as he assumed I
Posed as a low income earner. I explained to to him carefully(making reference to an agreement the hospital sends even before traveling) that a person is entitled to a certain percentage of discount if they’re able to make a payment of a particular amount. I was issued at the end sha, cos he even made correction that while filling a birth certificate info next time, I should state Nigeria as country of residence and not an address on the US which was my mistake.
I have used the visa to travel for holiday with the kids and I’m now back to have my baby.
POE was Dulles(the queue was loooongg) but I had my 3 year old citizen and sister with me so the stress was a bit less. Spent 3 hours cos their system was not reading fingerprints. Finally finally it remained just 3 CBP officers that attended to almost 50+ travelers. Transcript went thus:
Me:hello officer
CBP: hello ma’am, passports pls. Are you all coming for a holiday?
Me: no, I’ll be having my baby here while my sister is back to school
CBP: to sister, you have your i20?
Sister: yes( hands over i20)
CBP : and You’re sure you have just 9700 and not more than that?
Me: yes sir, that’s the exact amount.
And that’s it, he just stamps us in and we didn’t even go to secondary even though I declared we brought food stuff.
I dont know what is happening with the Abuja embassy sha, my husband was denied last month Ok the day they shut down the embassy. The officer didn’t look through any documents, he was just like” if your wife is having a baby why isn’t she here?” To which my husband answered that we had renewed over a year ago with our daughter” and then he handed him the pink slip. Any idea what could’ve gone wrong with such an abrupt interview?
I wish all the expecting mamas( and papas) the very best of luck in this journey! It is not easy!

Good morning, please any body that have flown Turkish airline to US? What's the experience like? The ticket am seeing with Turkish airline will go to Toronto and from there connect to Phoniex Arizona USA with Air Canada. Pls my question Is, will Toronto (Canada)be my POE or Phoenix Arizona USA.

And also how's Los Angeles POE like? Pls people with experience. I know they cannot be like Chicago. I conquered the almighty Chicago in 2016.

Phoenix is your POE. Hope you have a Canadian visa sha? If you don't, then dare not go near that ticket. If you have conquered the Chicago POE there's hardly any other one that pose more toughness to you. Never forget to be fully prepared though, much more than you did with Chicago, you never can tell, underrate none....

Thanks for ur response, but wouldn't they allow me to transit in canada/Toronto airport without their visa? Am not going to leave the airport, will be in transit for 7hrs. So theirs doesn't work like UK when flown BA to US and u transit at Heathrow airport without UK visa?
