Believers, remember when the Angel of the Lord (Christ Himself) appeared to Moses "in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush"(Exodus 3.) Moses got curious at the sight of the bush that was burning with fire yet was not consumed and said “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” But the Lord called him from the midst of the bush and told him not to draw near. See verses 5-6:

"Then He said, “Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.” 6 Moreover He said, “I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God."

Believers, in Christ, our case is different! We have full and unfettered access to our Abba Father. In Him, we get to enter the Holiest with boldness. See Hebrews 10-

19 "Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water."

Unlike Moses who was told not to draw near and was afraid, because of Christ's finished work of saving us, we get to "draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water."

An evil conscience is one that toils over the guilt of sin. The one with an evil conscience does not believe that Christ's obedience has made him righteous in the sight of God so his heart is constantly in turmoil from the burden of guilt that Christ gave Himself to free us from. Christ sets free from this evil conscience.

See the MSG version: "So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of His sacrifice, acting as our Priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is His body. So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps His word."

In Christ, we get to enter into the Holy of Holies without fear of judgment or death because Christ took our place on the cross; in Him, we are not under Law but under Grace! So let's draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience as we call Him by His Name- "THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS." Believer, we are in His days that Jeremiah spoke of:

"In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS." Jeremiah 23:6

What exactly is God's standard? Please brother, try your best to read the whole Chapter 10, even better, the whole Book of Hebrews.

Yea there's truth in what you're saying, but its half-truth, not the full truth...
"sinning willfully" in that context simply means turning your back completely from the truth, Abandoning Christ and not allowing the grace of reconciliation to be of no effect by killing our conscience completely "after that we have received the knowledge of the truth"...

Its different from falling into temptation, as in this case you really don't want to do it, but the flesh overpowered the spirit and there, you fell, but then, Titus 2 vs 11 - 14*, Kicks in, and like Paul in Roman 7 vs 14 - 25**, you begin to moan and groan in the spirit, the moment you open you mouth and ask for forgiveness, like a river Gods mercy comes pouring in...

there's no need to struggle with sin or in your words "we need to TRY our best" , if you've made up your mind to serve God, it won't be difficult, yes sometimes you may fail in fact often times you may fail, but just keep at it dont give up... dont try its not trial and error... go at it with passion and conviction... and always remember our self-righteousness is a filthy rag before God, Christ is our righteousness.
