That is the question I have been asking ever since this devilish arrangement was made.

Nigeria vs Ghana final is a potential U17 WC final. I have said it before that the WAFU zone B qualifiers is almost as tough as the U17 WC itself.

All I wish for these lads is that they qualify for next year u-17 world cup. We should not miss out on two consecutive occasions.

All the best Golden Eaglets of Nigeria.

Now our boys can put an end to the Ghana Wafu cup dominance. They won the men and women competitions.

With their history, both teams should not be paired together

It hurts Africa will present only 1 team & others.

Mali, Senegal and Guinea are in the other WAFU zone. And they are currently doing well in their own Zonal qualifiers. 2 teams will qualify from there.

I predict it will be 3 West African teams and 1 other from elsewhere making it to the WC

Looks likes the zoning was done based on Geographical location as Nigeria, Niger, Benin, Togo, Ghana, CIV, and Burkina Faso are nearest nations to each other.

The other zone that has Mali, Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania, Gambia, Sierra Leone and Cape Verde, has nations who are close geographically and are towards the West Coast of West Africa.

Since they are playing it in one location, proximity does not matter as much.

Some of the best teams will lose out under this arrangement.
