. please what i s braxton hicks and lightning ctotch. ftm here.

Braxton hicks is like a mild menstrual cramp comes with tightening of the uterus for me it mimicks the pain I feel a week before my menstral period.

Lightening crotch is a very sharp pain u feel deep within your pelvis or vagina most times it happens wen ever I'm trekking or I stand up suddenly

Through the journey of nine months God has indeed being faithful, the first month of conception I was normal, eating whatever I wanted I never really felt pregnant but the second and third month was 'hellish' for me was sick throughout in and out of the hospital treating malaria that refused to go.
Up until few days into the second trimester after that I was just hale and hearty no complain except the occasional pains of being pregnant...it continued like that till
On Tuesday the 5th of sept in the afternoon I went to pee and noticed a slight discharge after wiping I never thought it to be anything later in the evening by 6 water started dripping and I wasn't feeling contraction even the slightest of pain I had to call my Doc to inform and he said I should report to the hospital when I start having contraction so I slept.
The next morning by 8am still not feeling pains I called my mum and some close friends and they advised I get to the hospital to avoid infection and/or get induced too,so I took my bath, brushed and got dressed immediately I just entered the car I started having strong contraction, the pain was out of this world,we couldn't get to the hospital cuz it's a bit far had to go to the maternity home around thank God I also registered there, when we got there the midwife checked me and said I'm not fully dilated I should pace up and down...I was crying, praying and shouting at the same time chai! it wasn't funny, when I thought I couldn't take it any longer I was checked again and wheeled into the labour room and at 10:55am my princess came,I really blessed God cuz it wasn't a prolonged labor
To my team mate, team sept and all waddling and expectant mamas wishing u safe delivery and to TTC mamas soon we will rejoice with u all may God bless us all

Oh this song! You make me miss my antenatal days lol. It's one of my best

Yeah! This is true. I was sorting out baby's stuffs at the peak of labour. E pain me I no go lie you. It's good as you put baby's first wears (coconut oil and ors included) in a polythene bag. No need for too much load. You will be asked to put them outside if it's much self.
That song is evergreen.
During my first, it was my mum dat came into the labour ward to do the sorting but this time around, i might have to do it before leaving home sef. Cos i can't imagine labour and finding something wey no loss for inside box.
How is our princess doing?

. Really, pls can someone describe how to use both?
Get unripe pawpaw and cut into pieces with the back. Soak overnight and massage the boob's with the water in the morning, wash out after 15mins. Repeat at night and see the goodness of God. Get the big size syringe and use to suck out the nipple.

1/4 My Beautiful Birth Story.
On the 8th of September, I went for my regular antenatal clinic and the doctor reconfirmed that everything was fine and DD was still 25th of Sept. On my way home, my MIL called to get update on the visit and reminded me to pack my hospital bags regardless of the date from the doctors and I made a mental note to ensure that I do it that same day (after several procrastination). Later that night, hubby and I packed the bags. Fast forward to 5am on the 9th of Sept, I felt wetness and jumped out of bed fearing that I was about to pee on myself, I got to the toilet, peed but there was still another liquid coming out that I couldn't control, but the liquid was leaking slowly. I went back to the room to tell hubby, but he said it is just discharge that my water can't be broken at this stage. I got angry that he just discarded my worries like. I went back to sleep, but this flow didnt stop! By 6am, I used sanitary pad and by 8am it was soaked. At that point, I told hubby I was going to the general hospital on the next street since I also registered there for backup. By 10, we decided to stroll to the hospital, by 11 I saw a doctor who examined me and said "Madam, you are 2cm dilated! " I was happy and shocked. He said there was no cause for alarm, that he could either admit me or send me back home to return by 3pm. I opted to be sent home since I didn't even want to deliver there.

2/4 To speed up the contractions, I decided to walk back home through a longer route and even bought yam to make for breakfast. On getting home, I took a warm shower, made and ate breakfast before settling down to rest and watch TV. By 1pm, I remembered the doctor had advised that I use castor oil and I decided to try but my stomach couldn't take it, so I ended up vomiting the castor oil alongside breakfast. By now, hubby was already getting worried so he insisted that we start going to the private hospital I registered. I got to the hospital around 3pm, I consulted with the doctor and explained all that had happened so far and he berated me for not coming immediately I saw the water. He said something about how baby must be delivered within 24hrs of fluid leakage, he said I had just 12hrs to deliver my baby. As a next step, he examined me and said it was just 3cm dilated and he might have to do CS if there is no progress within the available time, however, he said we should do scan to confirm the water level. Throughout all these, baby was doing fine and the scan also confirmed that the water was still very adequate. I was admitted and given glucose drip and antibiotics to prevent infection. I was also told not to eat because of the possibility of CS. By 9pm, hubby was really worried because after all the urgency, the doctor refused to induce labor and time was running out. The nurse came to examine again and it was still 3cm by 10pm even with membrane sweep.

3/4 We discussed with the nurse and she said they dnt do induction at night and my water level was still good plus baby is doing fine. She said they will watch me for the night and induce the next morning. Throughout all these, I wasn't even feeling any pain, just hunger! Once the nurse left, hubby got me bread and tea and I jejely hid to eat my food before hunger will kill me. Throughout the night, the nurse checked on me every 2hrs and refilled my saline water once. In the morning, I took my bath and asked for food again, they said NO! not even water. By 8, the doctor came to explain the induction process and gave the nurse go ahead to commence induction. 2 tablets were inserted in my rectum, an injection was given intravenously and half cytotec was inserted in my cervix. Within 20mins I went to poo hot shit!!! The nurse told me to let her know when I start having serious contraction. By 9.30, I started having serious pains in my rectum and waist but no contraction! The doctor told the nurse to examine me in another 3hrs. By 10, the matron was doing ward rounds and she saw my state and asked the nurse "What is her dilation like? "the nurse said "I have not checked since induction " the matron was mad!. She told her to check me immediately. Lo and behold, she found my baby's head at the mouth of my cervix! I was rushed to the delivery room. There was still no serious contraction and there was nothing to use to push. I was screaming my lungs off! from pain.

4/4 The nurse said, since the only pain was in my rectum, I should push the next time I feel like pooing. So I kept pushing. After a while, she had to cut me to create more room. By 11.45, my beautiful baby boy came out screaming and was handed over to me...... To God be the glory. Ladies, please get ready for your babies from week 36, I can imagine what would have happened if I didn't pack my bags a night before the baby decided to show. BS submitted!!! thank you team September and thank everyone for sharing this journey with me

BS! BS!!
Finally, I can type in peace. I really thank God for his mercies over me and mine. This pregnancy was almost stress free, except for sugar-induced overkicking (no thanks to Milo and cadbury drinks). There was little vomiting, more of backaches, ojukokoro (longer throat) and laziness/tiredness. DH got tired of my begging and stop complaining.

EDD was 25th Aug, 31st Aug and 6th Sept. All waka pass, no show. I walk tire, kpekus nko my jajaina hear am! still oga no show face. By Saturday night tho, I started to feel heavy down there, dh thought it was caused by our isekuse sumtin. I sha took warm bath and another jar of Milo (thank you Lord for sending diabetes far from me). Sunday morning, I waddled to church as usual, danced my heart out during praises, then I couldn't sit still afterwards. I peed like 10 million times! Dh kept following me upandan, people were watching, I no send them. Sha, I managed till end of service then we went home.

Stay tuned...

At home, I continued my pee ministry and asked hubs to keep massaging the inside of my thigh. I kid you not, I thought my vjay was going to fall out! It ached like mad, I promised myself I won't kpekus for 3 months if God delivered me from the pain. Hubs got tired and called MIL that "omo yin ti fe pa mi o, o ni idi n ro oun (your daughter wants to kill me o, she said her puna is aching). Momsie shout for him to take me to the hospital sharp sharp. On the way, my water broke in the car, Hubs still had mouth to be telling me that the car wee be smelling now. The evil eye I gave him sealed his lips till we got to the hospital.

Long story short, we got to the hospital around 4pm... I was checked and found to be 6cm gone. MIL met us there (bless her heart) and made me promise not to shout or cause trouble. She even promise me Hot Amala ontop (see longer throat). I started to form macho girl, I no make sound but the pillows get dent. One ogbanje nurse still coman chook hand inside person yansh, dey speak English.... I dey look am. Around 6:15, I started feeling the urge to push, they checked again and I was fully dilated. With just 3 pushes, my bobo slid out...he didn't even cry for long. He was just looking around. The matron said "alakowe lomo yin o, ko tie pariwo". I couldn't stop the tears, for God gave me laughter for my sorrow.

I gave him ZURIEL meaning "the strength of God"...God has indeed been my strength through all the trials. IDIOPEMIPO... because I have enough reasons to thank God.

Singing ¶¶¶ we just want to say Baba o Eshe.....

Heavenly father, we want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have been faithful to have kept us. We are 20weeks old today and we have come to give you thanks. Receive our praises in Jesus name. Amen.

For the mothers that have given birth to their L.Is, we thank you. For the remaining waddling mothers, we thank you because safe delivery is our portion in Jesus name. Amen.

For the TTC mothers, oh Lord, just like the way you did it for Hannah and Sarah, You are still the same God today. We ask that you grant them babies. We have both plots of land here in this thread. Sooner than later we want to welcome them here and you will give them the strength to complete the missionary journey. In Jesus name. Amen.
