Glad to see you have changed your "worldwide" narrative to specific nations, when presented with clear examples.
This is change.

Oba ran ni ise, odo oba kun. Ise oba kose maje, odo oba kose to ri bo.
Dilemma! I must say.
I don't know how things will play out later because I am privy to the discussion table, but as things stand now, Amobode's popularity and discerned public opinions clearly signal that no one,not even Tinubu, can contest against him in this govenorship election and win irrespective of his political party.

The reason is simple: People's loyalty.
Though Ambode has his shortcomings, Lagosians are passionate about his second term.
which loyalty? do you live in Lagos? Ambode increased land use charge by over 400%, I live in Lagos so I know, he brought Vision scape to handle waste management for the whole of Lagos stopping PSPs that Tinubu set up to empower many Lagosians, All the inflated contracts he has been awarding is to his family members and friends even Party members are being sidelined. He is a selfish self centered person , he should go. Commissioners cant approve any contract over 500k, he must approve it, go to Alausa all processing fees for C of O have all gone up, all in the name of making more money for the state, you dont do that when there is recession. I am not a politician but he seems to be more focused on making money for himself and family members than helping the people. he should go. if he contests under APC, many people will not vote for him.

grandiose4ever:
Look why is Ambode even afraid. Even with the so called Mandate group influence APC could only win lagos by 100,000 votes. It was a very close call. Lagosians are enlightened people. Just get yourself to the poll by any means possible on any platform and you woukd be returned. No need to bow to senseless powers....
PDP bought their votes in 2015 with Jonas support, no free cash again for PDP so next years election will be a different ball game.

Acidosis:
Ambode polled a total of 811,994 votes to beat Agbaje, who had 659,788 votes in the last election (Source: Vanguard) in spite the wide support from Tinubu and his gang, with an expansive celebrity endorsements and media campaign from APC media centre.

Agbaje did it in 2015. Move to another party, ensure you win at least 3/4 of the incoming state house members to your side, and enjoy a smooth tenure.

This is not the time to beg some godfathers but the time to liberate Lagos state from a longstanding political idolatry
If you know the amount of money in dollars that gone down drain to garner that votes then, you will won't be comparing 2015 with 2019!!!! The question is who will foot the bill if he ported has you have advised?

The gullibility of a lot of people as regards certain issues is to say the least INCREDIBLE

They believe anything the social media throws on the screens of their devices.

Adeboye, please don't plea with Tinubu, he is not God. Ambode, i want to believe he knows the right thing he should do, so let him do it and should not allow Tinubu to cage him with his foolish and greedy conditions like a bird.

. Don't be disappointed cos Ambode deserved second term. You should support good things. Daddy Adeboye is not campaigning for Ambode but asking why he's not deserving second term. Did Tinubu performed up to half of what Ambode did for three and half years comparing to his eight years? Abeggy

But the former governor insisted on direct primaries in the interest of fairness and justice for those who had obtained the APC forms for governorship primary in the party.

Although the telephone conversation, which had been converted into a text was silent on what Pastor Adeboye said, Tinubu was quoted to have maintained his posture that all contenders should go to the field and test their popularity before the people they want to govern.

The APC leader said he had been accused of imposition in the past and would not want to be seen as imposing any aspirant on the people in line with what democracy entails. Tinubu in the text message which was going viral on twitter told Pastor Adeboye that: “Sir, people have been accusing me of imposition.

They say I imposed candidates at will.
That’s why I said all aspirants including the governor to get to the field and test their popularity among the people in an open contest of direct primaries
We want democracy and do away with God-fatherism, well, ASIWAJU is leading the wa and giving us all the opportunity to get involved and decide who we want in office to rule us.

Man Nigerians are hypocrites and just untrustworthy, you want one thing today, but when given that same thing, you all of a sudden cry foul and delve into something else.

We are just funny animals.

New found respect for Asiwaju.

Why are pastors and minister getting involved in politics. The only time leadership and office of a pastor was mentioned in the bible was pray for your leaders not come in and intervene. As a matter of fact it's says do not be unequal yoke with unbelievers.

I beg to disagree with you that many RCCG members voted for Buhari because Osinbajo would safeguard the interest of Christians.

They actually did because it would boost their church profile of parading the number two citizen or possibly number one citizen in the event that Buhari dies. Well, God disappointed them. Bubu is still kicking and his footsoldiers are unrelentingly decimating Christian populations and settlements in Nigeria, while the self-acclaimed RCCG Pastor still defends his boss's wickedness.

All I know is that, 'ejo nbe l'orun' (case dey for heaven)

Huge mistake. Tinubu is making a huge mistake. He will lose Lagos if he continues like this.

Did anybody notice how close the governorship votes were in 2015?

Something that hasn't happened since 1999 is about to take place and it will shock Tinubu.

But the simple truth is that they all must test their popularity. If there truly is an existent problem between Ambode and Tinubu, I do not think there should be any cause for much worry by Ambode. One day very soon a pharaoh does does not know Joseph will rise up and uproot 'tingod' Tinubu and teach him that power belongs to God. A direct primary will afford the governor more opportunity to self examine and look at ways to improve in his second tenure. My sincere hope is that he will not act the common way of governors on the second tenure who stop projects and amass personal wealth. I strongly believe that Ambode will defeat all opositions including the 'tingod'.
Why are you bringing god into this matterhuh

Elections are abut men choosing from among men to SERVE!!
