I dont know the way out. My bricked xiaomi redmi 6pro is not back 2 life. Now its no longer displaying the mi logo and the recovery page. It just plain dark screen with the screenlight on. And my system is not recognizing the phone as it isnt indicating qualcomm in device manager of the system as i bridged the testpoints. @acekid109, @lavenderjade @adamix.

If anybody her knows an engineer In comp village lagos that can help me flash the phone back to life. Abeg.
@noobody. @Gptech
was the rom flashing successful?

Exactly what I thought. Meaning it's that EDL stuff that can fix it. I think somebody succeeded in doing that here with the help of someone he met online.

At this point, I would advise buyers to discard their negative perception of Chinese rom. Truth is that it is not all Chinese because one can still select English as language.

The mi 5x I gave to my brother who's a novice on xiaomi products, I have never heard him complain about it being Chinese rom since all he sees in the phone is English

it's the excessive quest for global rom and bias for Chinese rom that make some Chinese sellers so desperate as to modding shop rom, installing them and deceiving buyers that it's global rom official.
exactly what happened to my phone. If I can get intouch with the guy u said restored his using EDL I will be glad

Good morning House, kindly recommend any reliable and trusted Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Global Rom Store, for those that can't afford Global Version price and help us from this issue of "Brick" (Fake ROM)

I haven't experienced this ur type issue before, normally you should be able to flash after touching the two test points, did you install the drivers to start with? It should definitely be detected by your system, the worst case it shows as 9008 device

redmi note 5 doesn't have this issue. It's common to newly released xiaomi phones from AliExpress

good morning. Redmi note 5 has an official global rom which is what sellers flash for you and you'll receive OTA updates regularly.
The issue of fake or shop roms happens when a model doesn't have an official global rom.
Note 4x was once in that stage too.

To your request, any store that indicates OTA as in the screenshot below is OK.

As a piece of advice, buyers should request the Chinese rom be left in phones that have no official global rom at the time of purchase. You can always move to the global rom once it's available. kiss

Why are you desperately trying to quote somebody out of context simply because you want to throw insults which you have proven time and time again to be very good at?

The guy never said anything about me having an annoying personality. Why are you the only person who feel that I have an annoying personality?

Why are you the only person who always feels bitter about me here?

Why don't you give more details about the deal between you and I that didn't go through. Maybe that way you will help them understand where your problem lies, and where the bitterness emanates from

I know better now

Only happens in few cases thou, redmi 6 pro is an exclusive china rom fone, just like the mi 5x and mi 6x,tghere global version or global rom is stock anroid one,

So no seller shld attempt to mess with the roms of those phones,

Just install google services and enjoy,

After all, china rom has bin proven to be beta than global rom to most people sef,

Which is why as regards the redmi 6 pro,i usually advice clients to buy mi a2 lite, except in cases where the client strongly indicates redmi 6 pro..

Cheers smiley
