You all are pathetic lots. Whats all this unnecessary excuse u guys peddle here on a clear case of fraud? do you know what it means handling the finance of a whole country? She shouldn't be found wanting in any aspect. Her position is to sensitive to be involved in any thing fraud. Fraud is Fraud no matter who is involved.

So Saraki’s position wasn’t too sensitive to have forged the senate standing rule, Dino’s forged result wasn’t too sensitive that he’s still in the senate, Adeleke fake result wasn’t too sensitive to be a senator and also contesting as governor.

ADIEU TO THE BEST FINANCE MINISTER IN RECENT TIMES.

For nearly the whole of today, the story of Mrs Kemi's resignation as the Minister if Finance trended the online media. Although, credible among them also carried the story, I remain cautious, especially when a conflicting news followed some few hours later.

Now, just a few minutes ago, the President's spokesman, Adesina, made a release to the effect that the President has accepted the resignation of his Minister of Finance, resting the controversy raging for this whole day. In the letter to the President, she gave her reasons as having got caught in a fake certificate saga which trended for sometime now.

She told the President that she got her first Nigerian passport at the age of 34, having been born, bred and educated in Europe where her family is based. Upon arrival in Nigeria, she asked for the procedure of remedying her lacking of serving under the compulsory NYSC since she was already past the mandatory 30 year age. And she was then, advised to apply for the exemption certificate, which she did.

In the letter, she told the President that she presented the same certificate to her state legislature where she served as a commissioner then; the same certificate to the DSS and the same certificate later, to the National Assembly. She said she was shocked to find out that the certificate issued her by the NYSC was fake as she had no capacity to ascertain its genuineness in the first instance. Hence she is now taking this decision as a path of honour.

Whatever the case may be, one thing is instructive here. A precedence has been established where honour now counts in service and in governance. It is not easy to let go when you are enmeshed in the goodies of power, especially in a country such as ours. Some people were confirmed before to have done worse offence and have not let go. She has let go even when she was obviously and innocently shortchanged.

No doubt, the present administration has lost a resource who has done much of the pride this administration flaunts as its major achievements in the last three years. Some of her major achievements included the prompt and strict implementation of the Treasury Single Account, along with the BVN, which greatly minimised official theft and fiscal responsibility in spending public funds.

She has also succeeded in saving a major crisis in the economy by cohesively organising the FIRS and the Customs and Excise which generated at least 60% of government revenue, swelling the Federation Account with necessary funds for us to survive, especially during the biting recession of the year 2015/2016. Under her watch, the Nigerian pensioners, gratuities, and similar abandoned empowerments were critically addressed. state governments also smiled away with Paris Club disbursements in various tranches.

Madam, as you move out of Government, probably back to Europe where you were groomed and where you inadvertently, acquired your exemplary discipline in government, I urge you to continue treading the path of honour. This government has a duty of fishing out the criminals who duped this fine personality and landed her in this big embarrassment, costing us her enormous wealth of knowledge, wisdom, courage and experience and finesse. Until you are vindicated, adieu to the best Finance Minister in recent times.

Let this woman be...

I’ve seen many people abroad who paid people here to help them get divorce letter but at the end when the embassy involve will verify the divorce letter, one will be surprised most of them are fake. because they won’t find the record in the court that they claimed to have issued such divorce letter.
Same is the case of kemi adeosun.

Madueke forged NYSC, she didn’t resign, she looted the nation to stupor, she ran out of the country and Heaven didn’t fall.

Many senators and Reps with fake o’levels, ND, HND, BSC and lots more go free and never resign despite they’ve been exposed.

God punish anybody who won’t let this woman have peace. She didn’t loot at least.

You are nothing but a tribal bigot. Must you mention Madueke? Do you indirectly have problem with the Igbos based on tribe?

Kemi Adeosun and Nigeria's failed institutions
By Abdulrazaq O Hamzat

The Kemi Adeosun's scandal, now refered to as #KemiGate has exposed how deficient our institutions are and we all need be worried. Beyond any doubt, it has been established that the former minister of Finance procured fake NYSC certificate, which she has now admitted in her resignation letter, many months after the news broke

These are 5 issues to worry about:

1. Adeosun obtained fake NYSC certificate, which is against the law. How did this happen?

2. Ogun State House of Assembly didn't detect this forgery and she was cleared for appointment as commissioner. A whole state legislative house.

3. DSS, Nigeria's intelligent agency didn't detect this also and she was adjudged by the agency as clean to be recommended as Minister. How? If DSS couldn't detect this simple matter, shouldn't we be worried about our national security?

4. National Assembly also didn't detect this highly sensitive matter as she was confirmed as Minister. I mean, we may overlook the state assembly and claim they have limited authority. What about the National Assembly? What stopped them from detecting this?

5. Surprisingly, what all our institution couldn't detect, a journalist, who is committed to duty detected it and establish the fact beyond any reasonable doubt.

Without any budget. Without allowance. Without power of oversight. Without security k nowledge.

The journalist did it.

Isn't this worrisome?

Your worries should have started from the very top where is the waec certificate of Mr President?

Tax evasions?? Please don't spread fake news.

The FBI has nothing to do with Taxes. The IRS does. American tax laws are complex and a lot of people use the loop holes created by the complexity to avoid paying taxes. Legal but fraudulent. But not criminal. And as far as we know, the media hasn't exposed anything about Trumps taxes.

Useless comparison on subject you know nothing about. Trump has not evaded taxes; he doesn't want his taxes made public!!FBI has not investigated him.

Oga express yourself and stop telling ridiculous lies.
Trump did not evade tax, he won't dare, na prison straight. Tax evasion is more tougher than arm robbery in USA.
He didn't declare or release his tax returns to the public during the debate because he was covering and shielding how much he makes from the public.

NYSC is not a judge of competence, but forgery is a criminal offense. Kemi was not criticized because she didn't serve or did NYSC, she was criticized because she presented a fake document, people should get it very Cleary as there's a big difrence.
The constitution didn't say someone without NYSC can't hold a position, infact, there's no educational qualifications for been minister.

Go back and read my comment before you blab and wail. I never exonoreted kemi

Let's wait to see how many international appointments or awards she will get.
Did you read Amina Mohammed's write up on how Kemi and Buhari have taken Nigeria deep into debt it cannot service? About $75billion so far. Kemi was not qualified for that position at all.

Ignorance is your problem. There is nothing wrong with debt OK. America that u praise everyday is over $23trillion in debt. Same america that is giving aid to almost every nation. So don't come and blab about debt. Nigeria is developing and moving forward whether u wailers like it or yes!

You need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she did it on purpose and not a victim of scam. Many people drive their imported cars around without knowing the custom papers are fake. Some even drive without knowing their licenses are fake.

We have a very convoluted way of doing even the simplest things, perhaps this is why we have many touts around government agencies pretending to help people procure what they should be able to procure themselves. From the sea ports to the Airports to the ministries to passports offices, everywhere.

stop displaying gross stupidity in public, anyway let me educate an idiot like you

Don’t be deceived!!

This is Nigeria
Nothing is Original!

If they want to get you.....they will get you.
If you are not dancing to their tunes or trying to fish you out....they will GATE you.

The certificate and document you have that you think is Original....if they want to make it FAKE....it won’t cost them a thing.
Just act right even when everything is wrong.
I don’t pity her or blame her.....she should have known something like this was coming.

Everybody is living FAKE!
