The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Monday jokingly asked if he was qualified to speak after the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, had addressed an audience at an event.

“Actually, I didn’t prepare to come and say anything here and who am I to speak after the Jagaban has spoken?”, he questioned.

He made the comments while addressing the audience at the launch of the new book of the founder of Zenith Bank, Jim Ovia.

Speaking about the new book, ‘Africa Rise And Shine’ the governor said he was certain that the wealth of experience shared by the author will serve as a compass for young entrepreneurs in the country.

He said, “I am certain that the wealth of experience shared will serve as a compass for young entrepreneurs who dare to dream and redefine the African narrative”.

The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, was also at the book launch.

Other dignitaries at the event include foremost chartered accountant, Akintola Willams; CEO Channels Media Group, Mr John Momoh; Chairman of Heirs Holdings, United Bank for Africa, Tony Elumelu.

Billionaire businesswoman, Folorunsho Alakija; Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Christopher Kolade; political economist, Pat Utomi, among others were also at the event.

How Lagos, a former capital for donkey years is being run like a drug cartel baffles me. Little wonder the whole place is in filth and decay. Instead of comparing Lagos with its mates which are Nairobi, Jo'burg, Cairo etc afonja kids will be here comparing it with Aba while claiming that Lagos is doing fine. A place where 95% of the citizens are suffering from chronic transportation problems, housing crises, bad roads, filth and all manner of frustration on a daily basis yet Tinubu keeps cornering everything that should have gone into the development of the city!! If Lagos citizens that claims to be enlightened can't get rid of tinubu by voting massively against the wicked APC he controls like a cartel then their famed enlightenment is nothing but a ruse.

Modified*****
For all those quoting me to say trash, I have this to say to you: Firstly, I once lived in Lagos some years ago after I graduated from the university but when I realized the sort of Hobbesian lifestyle majority of the people live there, I left the place for Abuja and now I'm in the East (I still believe it's one of the best decisions I've ever taken).
Secondly, if you are living and suffering in Lagos, yet still supports Tinubu/APC then you should seriously check yourself because you're suffering from Stockholm syndrome.
For God's sake, life is just once and nobody should continue suffering indefinitely or resign to fate when you can actually take the bull by the horn and try to change your destiny!!
If by any chance Tinubu succeeds in removing Ambode and APC still retains that seat in Alausa, then it is finished because the governor will only worship Tinubu and do whatever Tinubu wants even if it means emptying the Treasury of Lagos at his home, and you all will suffer for it because the governors loyalty won't be to you.

the yorubas will always remain slaves, they do not have the minds of their own,how can one mad man be so feared by many because they tagged him godfather or a demi-god,same thing awolowo did, same thing with abiola,to think i now share this country with you guys!..it is finished.

I love how you're talking. At least, Yorubas supporting Ambode would see the kind of hateful animals prodding Ambode to fight Tinubu.

You know the funny thing with Igbos, when things like this happen, they foolishly put their mouths and start talking, insulting everyone. When both parties now settle, Igbos would be the scapegoats to be dealt with by both parties

Lagosians will turn against Thiefnibu a. k. a dick head Lagosians will turn against Thiefnibu a. k. a dick head of Borgu land if Ambode doesn't get second term ticket. Yoruba voters will be divided into two and Igbos will definitely vote for PDP which Ambode will decamp to. That's when jagaban and his yeye mandate group will know they have no say over voters. A similar situation played it self in some northern states prior to the 2015 general elections which PMB took advantage and capitalized on.

my 2cents.

LAGOSIANS WILL DECIDE NOT ANY GROUP.

angry Ambode is beginning to irritate me.
He can't be the governor of Lagos for life.
If he has no balls to stand up let him quit and retain some respect.
Enough of this public ass licking!
