The deputy tourist police chief Pol Maj-General Surachet Hakpal, on Saturday, said the police will soon conclude their focus on all 1,400 Nigerians living in Thailand. Surachet said police would recheck Nigerians living in the country, to ensure they are living in accordance with the purposes they stated in their entry visa applications. He said singling out the entirety of one nationality for police attention was needed after “many Nigerians” were found to be taking part in romance scams deceiving Thai women. Is it not better to stay back here in Nigeria and have peace of mind than travel abroad and engage in criminal activities in a bid to survive at the expense of your peace of mind?  Most folks who get the chance to leave the country usually think they have automatically made it in life owing to their delusional notion that life abroad is easy.When they get there and see that life over there is not as easy as they thought it to be,they engage in criminal acts to survive.These are the people who give this country a bad image and give outsiders reasons to erroneously stereotype all Nigerians as criminals.
