MeinKampf:

being invalid doesn't mean the visa there is not valid. He or she will only need to carry both passports ('invalid' & new) . You can easily get your new passport stamped in Canada to reflect the expected validity you are supposed to get. It's never an issue whether the person choose to renew passport now or not
Perhaps he should renew and submit both the invalid passport which carries the passport number in the form as well as the current passport which can be tied to the invalid passport as it also bears previous passport number. If I were in his/her shoe and not rushing to resume immediately, I will send a CSE to IRCC to have back up document as dem dey kolo sometimes and I wouldn't want to take any chances with them before someone will say... "Sorry, this passport number does not match the applicant's passport number and there's noting I can do about it as I cannot append the visa on an invalid passport... Please apply again!".

I guess I've left whoever is asking more confused now. Forgive me.

Perhaps you are advertising services on your other phone so that you will get fresh deposit to settle Beguserai family and their wahala!

COPR:

The validity of his passport determines the length of his visa. Let me rephrase, if his passport has one month validity, CIC will issue one month visa for him.

And when he applies for renewal at NIS, he will be issued a new passport and NIS will render the old one invalid.

Do you get the point now? The decision is his to make.

I am very much aware of all this and I wouldn't like to go into any further debate. As you said, the decision is dependent upon the applicant.

hahahahahhaah..................@ galala123....................nice flow to ease tension..............e be like say the VO handling some application went on vacation without proper handover.............because CIC professed to handle applications on a "First In First Served basis"....yet some May applicants are yet to get decision while some July APPLICANTS have already landed in Canada.................

Honestly CIC is really spoiling business for visa agents with this unnecessary delay..............How can a client who has waited for 14weeks and still counting recommend other prospects?.............often times these clients are ignorant of the fact that the delay is actually from CIC not from the service rendered...................I JUST TIRE!!!

I think you are right.
Maybe the visa officer handling my application went on summer vacation. (Those guys don’t joke with summer vacation).

Is the bolded what you are going to tell Satish Singh (of the Beguserai family) standing outside your door?
They don't respect anyone... they can embarrass anyone. Looking at the recent Passport requests, they sent someone who received Medicals request this month Passport request while some folks who were told to do medicals last month are still waiting to hear from them... The more you look, the less you understand. perhaps they do it intentionally as they want to remain unpredictable.. Someone is asking Online or Paper better for faster processing... there was a time online was much faster... along the line, I guess some agents advised their Clients to go the online route for faster processing and are now taking the heat from their Clients who will feel misled as they watch Paper applicants overtaking them... I don Google "Eastern Time Now" today tire.

Ahah... Sis/bro .. It doesn't work like that here , sorry .. Being selective ? OMG.. Throw ur question and let guys help out .. But it does sound like you want private consultation .. smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley
Private consultation is $100/hour with assurance of politically correct responses. Open consultation is free at the risk of being attacked by tensed up applicants.

I can't remember but this might help as well

Ok. As a new resident of Ontario you can only use your naija DL for 60 days. Visitors use international DL depending on the duration of visit but my point is as a new resident . You can read more here https://www.ontario.ca/page/driving-and-roads

Do you know why it took so long to update your medical report? Or you took your time before going to the hospital (Like monitoring BP levels and eating a lot of bitter leaf till your personal doctor gave you go ahead to proceed for medicals). You know, they give you High BP before sending you for medical exam.

@goingfoward can you please say special prayer for my application and everyone here. I believe your God will make miracles happen. Amen
goingforward:

Good morning Nairalanders,

I pray for each one of us waiting, praying, and fasting.
That God in heaven will show us mercy and grace on the outcome of our application.

As you oh Lord honour your word more than your name, i put you in remembrance dear Lord concerning your word, according to Mathew 19 vs 23- 30.“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Dear Lord this morning we reach out to on behalf of myself, specifically for @jnyuwa02, earlier applicants before May, May, June, July and August applicants.

In our capacity we can do nothing at the moment, but we hold unto your word and seek solace in it.

We put our trust in you Lord Jesus, that you will grant us our approvals.
We command a book of remembrance upon each and everyone of us waiting this week.
We command that the Visa officers will find favour in each of our applications in the mighty name of Jesus.

Dear Lord, show up for each and everyone of us, that your name alone will be glorified In Jesus name, Amen.

Have a week filled with joy and laughter.

Goingforward.
