When things where better...

How I wish we can go back to the good old days..

Nigeria where did we get it wrong? Looking at the structure, I can boldly say it is very solid..

Unlike now where even rain can destroy roads constructed with billions..

Hmmm....Nigeria is a true definition of lack of maintenance culture

But we blacks have messed it up

They killed some of our leaders, (sarduna, akintola), plunge us to a meaningless civil war. They are still here to destroy our hard fought for Democracy with nepotism and impunity

This is a standard structure that can even compete with and outlass some overrated substanded project of today.

I honestly would have preferred the British colonization to continue till today, the so called stealing they claim they perpetrated with the ones done by the so called indigents, its obvious the one that gave value.

Could we say our leaders then are just not patient or want to use the independence for selfish attitude.... They should have allowed the British to rule us for a while. Painful to see Nigeria like this

This is a truth most Nigerians shy away from particularly the founding fathers. We were not ready for independence when we got it and it is one of the major reason why we are here today.

Now compare this edifice with the quack new universities build by Jonathan or others.What can you see in theirs? Mediocrity!!!

Even when Jonathan was advised that the money should be used to expand the first generation universities he didn't listen. He went ahead and built nonsense everywhere!!!

make we go back to regional govt... let every region face and tackle there problem. since we started useless scam federal system no good development projects in Nigeria.
University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan was founded in 1948 and at one time the best hospital in Africa.
Dignitaries from all over the world used to come for treatment at the hospital even Saudi royal families use UCH as at that time for foreign treatment.

Arguably the best hospital in Nigeria up till even late 80's.

Their football pitch alone is at Parwich Liberty Stadium.

24 hours electricity back then.
