Dear Nairalanders,

On the 29th of June 2018, I made some withdrawals using a Zenith Bank card at First Bank Ogui road branch in Enugu. I made 5 withdrawals in all but got cash for the first four.

I got a debit alert for the fifth withdrawal of 10k but I never got the cash. After waiting for sometime with no cash forthcoming I took my card and left. I went to my bank to make the complaint and they said in 2 weeks or maybe less I would get my money back.

After two weeks I went back to complain since I didn't get any refund and that was the beginning of my ordeal. Since then it was come this week, come next week, we've sent a reminder and one story or the other for over two months. They finally showed me a CCTV picture from First Bank saying I collected the money which I never did.

Note, the CCTV picture is a black and white picture showing only my head and the ATM feed stating when I made the withdrawal, how much, time etc. Apparently, the time I was waiting for the cash to be dispensed was recorded as me taking the cash.

Who has experienced something similar and most importantly, how do I get my 10k back.
I'd appreciate if this is on front page.

You don't need to panic. The law is 24hrs n if the bank fails to refund u, look for CBN hotline on such issue. You can make extra cash from d defaulting bank if u know ur onions.
