The result is subsidence which I'm sure is happening in Abuja albeit unnoticeable.

They didn't even make mention on the incessant blasting of Rock that has much propensity to trigger earth tremor, but it's borehole they are talking about. Geologically speaking Earth quake is a natural occurrence to a very large extent.

imagine just earth tremor took 2 days before they released a statement assuming it is the main the main alot of things would have gotten spoilt before we get a response.
you will start hearing things like
the past administrations caused it and we will need to set up a committee to look and advise before we comment, or our oga at the top hasn't authorized us to respond.

Trust any news from buhari's govt at your own peril. This may just be another way to siphon some $$ for election. After all they initially said it was activities of miners.

Remember when we said back in the late 90's that no Nigerian man will ever strap a bomb to himself and blow off people, well it happened and your hopeless leaders who refused to guarantee education instead create divisions with religion, ethnicity for votes got us there. Now we made noise about only having to deal with political disasters and thanking God for not having natural disaster as if God loves us more than China, US, Haiti and other places suffering them We kept electing people who kept us in ignorance while they were busy sharing their loot instead of providing portable water. Here we are after tapping and tapping on the earth's resources, it's beginning to retaliate. What a hopeless nation if Natural disasters add to our list or already unbearable problems.

There is more 'geologically' to it. Nigeria is siting within the west african craton. Reasons cited by the 'technical' team is not enough to trigger the dormant fractures and fault lines within our basement complex. I lost fate in the findings when incessant blasting of rocks and other major earth shaking activities were not mentioned.
May God save our current Nigeria!
