It is at times like this that I really wonder if all sits well with Donald. President Obasanjo never signed Walmart for Tinapa.

On his allusions about Walmart I would have thought that when you are constructing a shopping mall facility, if Walmart is going to be your anchor tenant not only would they have signed an agreement pre-construction, but they will also be present at the commissioning. Furthermore, President Obasanjo left office in 2007 along with Donald. So when did this Walmart issue happen?

As at when DD left office all the emporia in tinapa had been paid for and most of the companies getting ready to start business,we had daviva and tmart and some other stores operating there! don't forget that tinapa was duty free our Almighty liyel imoke that messed up himself in power sector came in with a policy of monkey go work monkey go chop brand of politics brought in customs and excise as well as staffs of UBA PLC kept them at the gate and forced people coming out with goods to pay money that was not budgeted for, pray what do you expect? patronage started dwindling the little departmental stores that where there started moving out because their profit was going down! under DD calabar port had it's first shipment of cars and goods EPZ was functional, we that were not politicians felt government presence for the first time we saw good roads, we saw accountability in the education sector ask any teacher in cross river state,we saw pipe borne water from our taps,we saw street lights,we saw traffic lights,we saw calabar turning to a beautiful city business flourished ,hospitality industry was at it's best!Liyel came in obviously jealous of the achievement of DD and decided to scatter everything he has built for us as a people! yet he is opening his mouth to defend his atrocities and rape of cross river! if not for anything he should hide his head in shame for foisting Ayade and his co governor brother on the good people of cross river!

I believe a lot of things led to the failure of tinapa.

1. Location; Calabar does not have the sizable population with good pee capita income to patronise that place. If tinapa was in Lagos, it would have been better

2. I remember I read one report then that the Arabs were scared of the competition the place will give Dubai, because of the huge significant of Nigerians that shop in Dubai. So there were some kind of sabotage. Even presently many Nigerians that shop in London now prefers Dubai to do there shopping.

Not sure speaking eloquently and truthfully about a thing someone witnessed should be classified as “assassinating” one’s character. Most things Imoke spoke about has been in the public realm. Duke hasn’t countered it. If it’s true, as it appears, hows this assassination of character?

Imoke can proud of the following: monorail linking ICC, first functional shopping mart (spar) in calabar, standardisation of educational sector through provision of state of the art equipments, construction og rural roads, institute of management and technology, ikom stadium, digitalisation of cross river civil service, health sector reform etc. Imoke believes in action than words.

Having read the full interview to hear Imoke's side of the story, it seems to me that Donald Duke is overrated. I am convinced more by Imoke than Duke.
