I so much like these enyimba coach read about him having a UEFA coaching badge and some football management degree in France
he is even a French citizen and have managed a French club before in the lower division
he is married to a French woman.
he is a very detailed and enlightened coach.

Yeah that is Sidi-Usman Abd’Allah. His name does not even sound Nigerian (more like a middle-east Arabic name) grin.
The way he has transformed the side since taking over from Paul Aigbogun is so very remarkable. Enyimba was 3rd in the group and in a space of 3 games he took them to the top of the group. He has brought so much attacking flair to the way the team plays.

He could potentially get a National appointment in the foresee-able future. wink

is it just me or has fifa completely lost it with their awards?

Not really a barca fan, infact I'm a madridista. but any list that doesn't have messi in the top 3 is a fraud list.

how can dani alves be the best rb

ronaldo that dragged madrid to the final was snubbed for best player, not even to mention messi wasn't even in the top three... talk about disrespectful

the best goalkeeper doesnt make the world 11

and how on earth does salah get best goal ahead of cr7's bale's?? that salah goal is normal to players like messi robben hazard etc. even his teammate, milner says it's salah 7th best. but fifa thinks its the best.

good thing messi and cr7 didn't even attend

lol well I get your point but it is just a matter of preference. I personally love both lads so much. They both have good character and are hard working but most importantly they guarantee goals.

Thats a huge accolade that as it stands is totally untrue currently.

People like Lukaku, Kane, Aubmyang, Mbappe, guarantee goals you cant even say that of KC.

Gimme some idea na...

Saido story is quite tragic, barely two years ago he was at the pinnacle of his career with a very promising future.

Dedicated and disciplined at one one of the best young strikers at 21 in England and then things changed dramatically but not on the pitch but off. He was wanted by Crystal Palace, Stoke City, Tottenham and Newcastle with bids of £20 + million rejected by West Brom. Saido was very upset and very unwisely made some unsavoury comments about the chairman and threatened never to play for West Brom.

He was ostracised by Tony Pulis, and was treated like a leper, he use to cry like a baby going to training, he didn't have mental resilience to deal with what was happening to him. He went into deep depression his football suffered he is now a mere shadow of his former self.

Drink driving convictions followed and a subsequent driving ban, drug abuse stories he then became an easy target for the ever watchful "slay mamas" and very foolishly in the space of 6 months has three child paternity claims against himself. He has hit rock bottom and is struggling to find his former prolific goal scoring form. Shockingly he is only 25. His fitness became so poor he had to go to a French boot camp to try and get fit while battling with depression.

This is why a strong family support for a footballer is very very important. Something similar happened to Zaha at united sent on loan to Cardiff , he was like ghost, a complete shadow of himself. A return to Crystal Palace and to his home completely resurrected his career.

The award was a complete joke... De Gea ahead of Courtois,Navas and Lloris?
Dani Alves?
Hazard ahead of De Bryune in midfield,??

And that Salah goal wasn't even deserving of d award.. they probably gave it to him as a consolation for missing the world XI

Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has declared his international future.

Guendouzi is a target for Morocco coach Herve Renard, however he insists he wants to play for France.

He told L'Equipe: "I always played in France's youth team, so I want to put on the jersey. To play for the Blues is one of my goals. It's a dream in a corner of my mind.

"But I remain focused on what I have to do with Arsenal. It is important for me to continue to progress. I am only nineteen years old, we must not forget it. The rest will follow if I am good enough."

You know how long it took for Nzonzi to break into the French team?

I think this is FIFA award not EPL or UEFA award. What you do in FiFA competition + others are considered. I guess.

Though not all the time but most times North Africans host the return leg. By then they will know how many goals they will need to score to over turn a first leg result and be ready all out to attack until they achieve it. That is when CAF will go and send a Libyan or Sudanese referee to officiate the game, who will be awarding them useless free-kicks in dangerous positions and possibly penalty. The fans will come to the stadium with laser beams and all sorts of whistles to whistle off any of any passes our boys will make and they will now put the kick-off time at 9pm much to the disadvantage of our boys who are not used to playing under flood lights.
The boys will undergo humiliation right from the Airport and even may have their bus stoned at.

These are conditions other African teams go through to play in North Africa. Well, Enyimba is an experienced campaigner on the continent. They should be prepared for all those.

That game in 2003 that saw us win that title first time, OMG. We won the first leg 2:0 in Aba but we knew we were going for War in Ismaili. God bless Enyeama abeg. Na him save us that day. I watched the game with some of my friends who were journalists. It was like a Nigeria vs Egypt game. O boy memories.....

See the 2003 final: That game was terrifying. Enough humiliations form both players and fans angry

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K58aBO1pGUo

if not that Enyimba won, I'd not like to recollect such a match. How can you dribble a defender and you get a whistle for fouling the defender that actually fell like that defender that Onyekuru dribbled recently in Turkey? I don't know what yeye marketing strategy this 2nd leg is a must in N. Africa is, but it gats to stop soon.

It's why I'm waiting patiently for an Nigerian to be CAF President so that we can change lots of stuff wrong with African football.

It's to Frenchy in commentary for my liking sef. lol.

Wow this is beautiful. See how he rebranded everyone of them perfectly with their respective histories well defined. That el-kanemi is wow.

Our clubs need better Jerseys too. If u see the Zambian league, bar the quality of the games, their Jerseys are mostly beautiful. North Africans model their Jerseys after those of French clubs, and it is so beautiful. Another league with some beautiful Jerseys is the Kenyan league. Ghanaian league Jerseys are worse than ours, Kotoko and Hearts Jerseys no be am at all. At home here, I love the el-kanemi Jersey, Pillars too.

We dont need adidas, puma, nike et al, to look good. Aba has some of the world's best designers. Just design something yummy laced with the nzogbu, then, we are good to go. If the Jerseys are cute, fans would feel the urge to buy them. Even in the streets of Aba, anyone putting on this Enyimba Jersey, looks dirty to me. I dont even want to talk about the Rangers Jersey

Yes, the Zambian League has clubs with beautiful jerseys (Nkana FC, Sony sugar etc). I think our clubs are used to settling for less, Akwa United's jersey always leave me with "Apollo"

I don't know of any such plans for now.

Reason people have not really complained about this jersey is because ever since Super sports stopped airing NPFL matches people have not been seeing those games and such the jerseys. Now that people have started complaining lets see what Chairman Felix Anyasi Agwu will do about it.
