Dear forumites I applied for a renewal of my F-1 Student Visa through the Drop Box Visa Renewal Program at the U.S. Consulate General Lagos, Nigeria on December 2014 but on Wednesday January 7th 2015 I received an e-mail from the Correspondence Unit (TMI) US CONSULATE GENERAL LAGOS, NIGERIA stating that the they needed to see me in person inorder to proceed with my case. But the problem I am having right now is that my school resumes on Monday January 12th, 2015 for the spring semester. It is advisable to depart the United States while school is so close to resumption. It is worthy of note to point out that when I was filling the DS-160 nonimmigrant Visa Petition I also mentioned the following information listed below
(1) That I have a pending immigrant petition filed on my behalf by my sibling
(2) That I have a valid work authorization card issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
(3) That I have four siblings currently residing in the United States three of whom are United States citizens and one a permanent resident

If anyone doubts me, I will be more than happy to produce copies of certificate of incorporation for my businesses

Secondly, I'm already U.S. Citizen. I have already produced a documentation to prove that assertion

Lastly, anybody that spent anywhere from 5years - 10 years abroad and have nothing to show for it should maybe consider returning to Nigeria and try his/her luck.

Maybe their destiny might be in Nigeria.

Heck if you can't make it America, you probably won't be able to make it anywhere else in the world.

And that's why I was skeptical.

uS embassy won't issue him a F1 if that was already established. They'll advise him to apply for a passport.

Exactly my point, why does one need a visa to a country they are supposedly a citizen of. Plus according to his timeline, he was f1 about six years. In thread he said father filed for him but in another thread he claimed a sibling was filing for him.

What if he didn't know? What if his dad had refused to give him the necessary details? If he didn't know then possibly he wouldn't have put it on his application for F1.

He has too many condradictory posts, and other threads he has been questioned on the validity of his posts by other users. Another user on the student visa thread who he had personal contact with has accused of him fraud. People need to understand that there are some intelligent people on this thread and do not take everything at face value . Radioworks never explained how her husband received it either. As I posted MULTIPLE times, the DIRECT LINk from the USCIS website which is the immigration site for the US , it says under 18 during filing. Now if someone saying they got it over 18, not saying it’s impossible but they have to explain in detail especially if they came here with non immigrant visa making it less straightforward . This is why Nigerians are given more scrutiny during the immigration process.

I'm not sure what details you expected to hear but fact of the matter is I don't owe anyone the details especially since it's my husband's business and not mine. I don't know about the other guy but I do know it happened for my husband.
My husband is Jamaican. Dad emigrated, lost touch, son went to USA on a Visa, while there dad in an attempt to mend fences filed for him. That's as much detail of his story as you're going to get. I already regret sharing so much detail about his life on this forum and he'll probably be mad at me.

Moving on. Been a while since anyone had something positive to contribute on this thread. Time to unfollow or close?
