There is a difference between Sb buying up your company and having investors in there.

That's called business.

Integrating Facebook and Instagram has been great itself. Infact, when u pay for ad on Facebook you can make it run on Instagram without haveing to go through the stress.

You can even link Twitter with Facebook where your tweets or retweet could always be posted as a status.

Their resignation is not going to be a problem. They'rejusy like kids who wants no changes to his toys.

Mark is a visionary and a business man, you can't make him rigid!

I'm sure those guys will think they're gonna be building a new app...

I trust mark, he'll copy everything and as u right no, make it even more attractive.

He's after YouTube already... It's just a matter of time!!!
Why can't he build his own
Why buying
Beside he copied Snapchat and do those appearing pic on Facebook

It's such a shame that these guys sold Instagram for peanuts back then. If they had waited just a bit. I imagine instagram would have been worth at least $10 - 20b.

yeah, I did.
But then I saw another guy in his mention who argued that African/Nigerian founders are so much entangled with the title of CEO and it stops them from seeking investors which could have helped their business grow.
I'm in a dilemma as to which of these arguments is superiorcheesy

It's called business. Why build when you can buy it outrightly? Building a division to be the best takes time, so if buying it is easier in the long run, then buy.

Bayer bought Monsanto cos of the latter's proficiency in plant biotechnology ditto Takeda buying Shire Pharmaceuticals cos of Shire's knowledge in rare diseases.

Bayer and Takeda have the money. I like Mark's business knowledge. Those Insta guys come across as charitable folks. Maybe they should create an app for Oxfam. grin

monopoly of the market , is a bad day for other product to sell. so no financial potential for a merger cus the facebook guy will always want to favor is own...just like dongote

Systrom's story in inventing Instagram is inspirational, because he taught himself coding. He was actually trained as a marketer and he learned how to code at a late age in life.
As someone with a background in marketing, it's a bit disappointing that he can't see the financial potential of a merger between the Facebook and Instagram platforms. All the same I wish him luck in his future endeavours.

There are no sentiments in business.
The aim of every business is to remain the industry leader. You can buy over your competitor's product or develop products to compete with theirs and ultimately take over the market and even kick them out!
Cocacola might not really be making money from sale of sprite but they have to keep producing it to have a share of the 7UP markets.

Ehiscotch:
Zuckerburg is turning social media into his own empire , where he reigns supreme.
His monopolistic style is killing healthy competition and innovation: if he can't buy you over, he steals your ideas and makes whatever made yours attractive, well, less attractive.

Big Ups to the Snapchat dude for not letting Mark completely take over.

In as much as I love Zuckerberg's personality I think he is overreaching, trying to over-achieve. He is trying to make others do what he never did: sell his creation.

OK, I get your point but you're considering political power only. In reality, Jeff and Bill have the power to control the larger world economy in a more terrifying way.
Re: Instagram Co-founders Dumps Facebook Following Conflicts With Zuckerberg. by Amberon1: 8:26am On Sep 26, 2018
There is no such thing as over-achieveing.
Zuckerberg didn't force anyone to sell to him nor give in to his demands. No one can ever have monopoly of anything in America and there is always healthy competition.

You are right but lost me when you mentioned Sprite. Look, the aim of every business is to maximize profit. No business would continue running at a loss. If there was no gain in Sprite they would've stopped a long time ago.

A founder has to remain as CEO to ensure deliverables are met. The more correct argument is Nigerian founders are so hungry for money that they erode their bargaining power significantly. Whichever way, the CEO answers to the board.

I think your point is a bit off.

From what was written here, Mark is breaching a clear agreement that they had.

For some people, it is not about amassing wealth, they want to retain the orginality of their creation.

You may not be able to understand this though.
