Dantata + business connections and political connections from his father, uncles, etc. How many Nigerians had such opportunity If many Nigerians here have someone to give them just 5million to startup a business or fund their ideas, many will become richer in few years to come.

Dangote is the looting pipe and front for majority of past Nigerian heads of state excluding:

If dollar is 365 naira in black market, and CBN is selling dollar at 310 naira. Federal Government will issue Dangote a FOREX waiver to obtain dollar from CBN at official rate of 310 naira to encourage him so he can employ more. Dangote will buy this dollar and move it outside Nigeria and round trip to make billions.

That alone is a multi billion dollar business that made Aisha Buhari and many top APC chieftains billionaires in 2015/2016 when dollar shot up to 500naira = $1.

They will get waiver from CBN to buy $ at official rate of say 310nairs = $1 and they go to black marker to sell it for 480naira = $1, now check how much they will make selling like $50million

Same thing which they did to cripple Ibeto Cement. Gave Dangote a lot of concessions which made him sell Cememt almost at half-price to Ibeto’s. When Ibeto was out-priced and crumbled, Dangote went back to his normal price.

Yes they are successful but they are not worthy role models to encourage majority of Nigerian youths who come from very poor family background.

Maybe Dangote and his likes can be used as role models to rich Nigerian kids like Otedola's daughter DJ Cuppy, Abiola's kids and their likes but not a good role model for majority of Nigerians who were born without a shoe nor roof.

Same goes with Chimamanda and many others like them.

It will be unwise to ignore what I heard from the man himself, in the presence of stakeholders of the same system whom we accuse of enriching him, detailing how much he and other businessmen of his era struggled and toiled amidst 'killing' bank interest rates of over 40%, to successfully build and expand their businesses; and believe mere hearsay from just anyone.
