Finally I got to my hotel at about 5pm tired and hungry and so decided to chill in the public area when I met this lady ( British Ghanaian) who is a vlogger(fun lady I must tell) and later fixed and outing.

Had to rest a while but couldn't because of hunger and I was even too tired to get what to eat.. Finally I was at a recommended restaurant where i ordered for Wahkyye ( pronounced watchie), terrible taste I couldn't eat I just had to package it and ordered for kebab (meat sausage kinda) which I just managed and went back to my hotel at about 10pm.. Immediately after my new UK friend Sasha (not real name) buzzed me for the outing ...

Pic of kebab

Note, I disposed the Wahkyye next morning, only ate the egg and chicken inside.

Woke up Saturday morning tired and hungry and immediately went for breakfast with my room mates..

I was supposed to return back to Nigeria this day but had to extend my stay lol (too much fun abeg)

Unfortunately I got to the reception and was told all rooms are filled up so we (me and my guy) had to check out to another hotel close-by for one night to return back next day when it will be free, so we actually paid down to reserve the room..

From our new hotel we went out to meet a friend schooling here who took us to change Naira to cedis at Circle, we did at 10k for 134cedis .

From there we went to planetkebab for lunch. After that then to Labadi beach and LA palm royal beach for a Cocktail Festival.

Nice thread and big fun and enjoyment bro. But lemme point out something i have not seen any thing here to compare to Abuja like seriously. The reason why we don't really value abuja is be cause is in Nigeria. Mad fun all over night clubs and all. And ohh about the white chicks dem plenty for abj. I would love to go to accra but not because of the beauty but because of social interaction maybe.

Bro, Abuja has got nothing in the offering. No Hostels to lodge, no attractions and mostly not a tourist destination. The highest points of interest here are Silverbird Galleria, Millenium Park, (can't believe am saying this) Shoprite, maybe our 3 to 5 star hotels and what else? Abuja is dead on arrival.
Nice work OP...you're really keeping us updated. Have a safe trip back to darkness (Nigeria).

What happened to d head of Nkrumah, or did he die headless?

All these outings, na free? Also, do u just decide to start going somewhere or u already knew about these places or u have a tour guide... Which one?

Then, breakdown of expenses, especially feeding, accommodation n transport (minus too much flexing n no booze)

Sorry say d question plenty o

No he didn't die headless... I guess it happened when the monument was stolen before it was recovered.

Some places requires gate fees like pubs, clubs, labadi buh other places are free.. Lol it's my first time in Ghana so I did some research of places to visit and also got some recommendations from locals here.

Personally I don't need a tour guide cos I love to do it on my own. *WANDERLUST*
With my sneaker, lil money and Google Map, I'm ready to go!

Breakdown of expenses will come after the trip

OBSERVATIONS...

* These people love cats!!!! Scary!!

* I was shocked to see these NigeriƩn children in Circle begging for alms like they do in Nigeria.

* Ghanaians don't travel as much as we do.

* This controversial debate between Naija jollof n Ghana jollof... Hmmm I ate Ghana jollof as lunch today n it was ok.

* Ghanaians do have the feeling of being intimidated if the visit Nigeria but some do wish to come.

* Most big business here are owned by whites!! And they feel so free.. No hassle.. Just love it!
* 90% of vehicles on the road are taxis!!! Which is a major business here.

*Most Ghanaians take Saturdays off (talking about privately owned businesses). It was a hard nut to crack for us yesterday.

*Yes! Light is constant

Will update when I remember others...

Stay tuned.

Good job, bro. I'm glad you've had a blast in Ghana so far. It's sad beyond comprehension that thevNigerian government isn't doing anything to boost tourism - local and foreign. Ghana is becoming more and more attractive for foreign direct investment; and tourism because of its relative peace, improved transportation, constant electricity supply, improved infrastructures etc. Nigeria should wake up, abeg! Common light we no get! cry

It's so sad and bad to see how Nigeria has befallen before Ghana.

God help us

Apologies for this last post.. Journey so far has been a stressful one.

On Sunday after having breakfast and a little rest we got out again hoping to see something new from our wanderlust adventure.. We got a taxi for 10cedis to Independence Square (2nd time for me) the walked down to Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park (buh he didn't want to enter cos of time) and further down to the famous JAMES TOWN!

This is a different story of its own under Accra, having the very ghetto look and smell and relics of colonialism.

We didn't do much sight seeing here because it was getting dark and we had to be very security conscious.
Here was like a place where everything happens even gay practice.. Yes!!

Not wasting too much time we took some photos of James Fort prison, Light house, and some street views and ocean (beach) view

Quickly we boarded a taxi back to our hotel (10cedis) and it was an exhausting day! Had our bath immediately and jumped in the swimming pool to cool off the stress wink .. Me no Sabi swim sha I just dey form bad guy lol grin

It was getting cold for me I ran inside for warmth and behold I met two Australian med students (beautiful ladies) who just came in, we did some introduction and had a good cheer before going out for dinner at about 10pm.

Already my partner had invited our Nigerian friend to join.. We had a great time with the locals being our last night there it was memorable.

He had their local disk *banku n I was just starring because I wouldn't try any local food again. I was only able to do chicken and vanilla milkshake and got back about 1am.

It was fun all the way!!!

Pic : Banku

Finally and sadly it was here! The day to say goodbye... Got up early at 5am and was at the park (ABC) at 6am.. Got our tickets for 200cedis each and left about 8am.

Hell of a ride it was to Lagos (Amowu Odofin), arriving at about 1am, slept in and continued to Benin this morning...

Hmmm ABC sha get as e be!! Pros and cons

Pros : No personal checks at border controls

Cons : THE BUS IS DIRTY AND SMELLS!! THEY HAD TO SWITCH OFF THE AC MIDWAY CLAIMING IT WAS FAULTY.

MORE OBSERVATIONS...

*Cab business tends to strive well here because there are lots of them here.

*Theres a perculiar gutter stench in Accra most especially the downtown. I really get this stomach upset whenever I'm outside

*They keep cats as pet

* I observed they don't have road side mai Shai... Indomie (I find tire).

*Fast internet... There are Wi-Fi everywhere even in business areas.

* They have skyscraping banks here!! God they are big and beautiful!

*transportation is quite cheap here.. You get a long distance drive with maximum comfort for as low as 10cedis.
