The US can’t compete with China on the economic front in Africa. They went to sleep while China’s Belt Project had its footprint in Asia, part of Europe and Africa. But not anymore. Pentagon is fully awake. Since they can’t compete economically, what they can do effectively is to make sure Africa is turned to Congo and Libya where they can deploy and pay military contractors to pay for protection of key economic facilities and installations.

That’s part of the reason why GEJ was removed. We can let this truth be drowned by the emotive emptiness of “GEJ was a failure”— a lie cooked in Washington and bought by Tinubu in his quest to oust GEJ. Can’t you ask yourself why the US never supports any independently-minded and educated African anywhere? Sadly, Nigerians do not read and do not see beyond pre colonial tribal lines to see and understand that there is a common imperial enemy who doesn’t care about Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba or the black man and will do all to stop any resurgent African State.

From Obasanjo to Ya Ardua to GEJ, the Nigerian government refused all entreaties to site a US base in Nigeria. They already have a base in Djibouti, Niger and have Ghana airwaves where they monitor communication in West Africa. The plan, all along, was to ursurp Nigeria’s leadership capabilities. Nigeria lead in Liberia, Sierra Leone, however needed French help to lead in Mali and The Gambia. Franco-American colonialists are wary of a rising black power. Like they’ve always done, they will use the weak precolonial structures and inflame tensions amongst already misguided “tribes”. The result? A never ending distracting fight with terrorism. Ask yourself, why has terrorism never ended in places where they start? Who do you think utilise the weapons lines in North Africa to West Africa since Libya was turned into a failed State?

No one but Nigerians are inviting political strife to themselves. In Nigeria there is no love for one another. Very soon Buhari will be back in power and deepen his style of leadership which has up to now divided Nigeria more than ever before. His supporters will acclaim, not because he is the best but he fits into their idea of a leader that will contain those they do not love. So I am indifferent to where America is having a military base. It might even be to the advantage of the oppressed people of Nigeria. Ghana deserves every recognition that they are getting from the developed world. Ghana is a very serious country. They definitely want to get it right.
