tbaba1234:maybe most of the states in South West sit on their butt waiting for allocations, which is proof that Tinubu did not do a thing in Lagos that anyone couldn't have done. Once again, if he is such a genius, he should replicate his acts in other states within the same region. Is he not the one that recommends and endorses leaders for all six South West states? Is he not the one that endorsed the massive failure, Aregbesola? It is easy to look good when you have the right tools in place, but to know a genius, is when one can replicate his successes in other less fortunate places. Go to Akwa-Ibom and ask what Akpabio has done. Anambra state does not sit and wait for Federal Allocation, same as Enugu state and neither of them has a Tinubu. Tinubu has done nothing special |

Joebie:In Lagos you do not need to be corrupt. You an be unethical depending on how you look at it and make a lot of money from commercial positioning of your assets and insider knowledge to gain competitive advantage. And that's is without stealing any public money. |

Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that
Watford striker Isaac Success has vowed to
bring his club form to the Super Eagles when
they face Libya in a double-header this month
in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Hornets number ten says he is delighted
to earn a recall to the Super Eagles, noting
that most people wrote him off after he
struggled at Watford in the first half of last
season and failed to find his scoring boots
while on loan at Malaga this year.
Off the pitch, he had been in the news for the
wrong reasons but has promised to turn over
a new leaf and say's he will be focused while
on international duty.
Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has
named eight attack-minded players on a 24-
man roster and Success is expected to act
as cover for his former teammate at Watford,
Odion Ighalo.
The former Nigeria U17 sensation is having
his best spell in a Watford shirt, playing
every single game contested by the club in
all competitions and scoring two goals in the
League Cup.
Success's only appearance for the Super
Eagles to date was against Senegal in an
international friendly in London back in March

safarigirl:Tinubu was only governor in one state. Lagos is the only state where Tinubu has that grassroots support. His influence in other south west states is really not that strong. Tinubu was not a great governor himself partly because he had no money but he laid foundations that Fashola worked with. Lagos IGR today is greater than 31 states combined. In terms of IGR in Nigeria, Lagos and Ogun states are the only states that collect more IGR than their federal allocation. Rivers collects about 60% of FAA. In fact the states with more than 20% are very few: Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Edo, Enugu, Delta, Cross River, Anambra, Oyo and Abia States. So we have many states that are realistically not viable. That said, I am not saying Tinubu is a saint. Infact, we all know that he is not. If anyone can rule Lagos and do well, Ambode will not be in this situation. |

Here is what OLA Aina has to say about the Serie A compared to the championship, whereas, in here, someone who knows little or nothing about the round leather game would want us to believe otherwise by hyping the championship to high heavens even rating it above some of this top leagues just because his whack players have made the championship their Haven and cant make the step up to play in better leagues ![]() “I’ve been enjoying it so far,” Aina told Forza Italian Football . “I’m enjoying training and the games, and all the challenges as there are some top sides here. I’m settling in just fine. The difference is a lot. The level is a lot higher, the concentration and tactical side of things are a lot higher than the Championship. For me, that is what is key for me this season. “Right now, the squad are just focusing on each other, and to take each match as it comes. We want to play good football and get as much points as possible and win games. So if we can focus on this, then who knows.” |

When Lagos was left to rot after almost everything were relocated to Abuja, who resurrected Lagos from ashes? When Lagos was filled with potopoto and pot holes, who fixed it? When Lagos was filled with jaguda and thieves all over, who chased them out? When Lagosians perished and died daily in Majidun river along Ikorodu road due to one narrow bridge, who came to initiate the expansion of the road? When Victoria island, Ikoyi, Lekki and main Island roads, drainages, and vertually all infrastructures were left in comatose, who fixed it and made it livable and attractive? When Lagos was disorganized disjointed and in disorderliness, who introduced decency, orderliness and organisation through Kai, Lasma and Lawman? When Lagos was unattractive, unliveable and appalling to investors, who made it the beautiful bride? When Lagos was governed by Otedola, Maruwa, Raji Rasaki, Oyinlola etc, why was Lagos still in comatose after they left and why couldn't dey regulate the tax system? Was Lagos not a federal project as at then? Who stopped them from making initiative and long lasting policies? When Lagos was brook and depended on federal government allocation, who raised the revenue? People say Lagos is a federal project, so was Calabar and now Abuja but how come they can't regular tax system in these federal project cities? People who doesn't know anything about the success of Lagos, can ignorantly say Lagos can develop without an icon in the person of Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He is the one who drew the template of Lagos. After Christopher Columbus discovered the new world, his people said it was not a big deal after he returned from his voyeges, he then asked them to stand an egg but they tried to no avail. Then, he pressed the button of the egg to make it stand. They said that was easy but he said, you didn't think up to that level. As simple as it looks, doesn't mean you can think about it. Those who are making mouth, Tinubu did nothing because they are enjoying what he did, are not different. Just mouth. Now, let them tell you who should replace APC, most of them will be calling PDP for best reason known to them. This is without telling us who in PDP is competent enough. One thing they don't understand is SW politics. If Lagosians decides to kick out APC today, they will be kicked out no matter what Tinubu does, but they will do it by replacing APC with a competent candidate in any political party but for now, PDP and other parties don't have anything to offer. Putin likes his opposition and imprisons them. So, that is Tinubu's role model? A thief and a murderer is your leader. Why you no talk North Korea too, since we are mentioning dictators and authoritarian governments |

Simon mayn't start cus he just returned from injury and is yet to play much for his club, but Iwobi definitely will... Rohr might admire Kalu, but he is still.behind Musa, Iwobi and Simon as far as the wing is concerned.. |

tbaba1234:lol....yiu mean the Federal Government aided progress? Come and tell me how any of these states have ever benefitted from the FG. Lagos has been the pearl of Nigeria since the colonial period. Anambra is moving and functioning with little or no Federal might......In fact, with little or no contribution from Lagos It is the indigenes of these states that are responsible for at least 50% of Lagos IGR by way of importation. They don't have seaports, no access to foreign investments like Lagos has, but even with the undue advantage, these states are doing great by any standard. They have a higher living standard, better education, higher life span.......they focus on people-based progress. No be by spilling numbers that cannot be replicated in the life of the average man. |
