Rocha's tries to impose his son-in-law in IMO state, look at how he has been disgraced

Peter Obi tried to play godfather in Anambra, dem shift am comot

But Tinubu dey carry Lagos state play bet9ja.

Some people allow others choose their leaders, others realise that one man cannot lord over millions. When no be say he be God. Background determines what is viewed as normal and what is abhorred.
Maybe they are not as smart politically and in studying human nature as tinubu is. Tinubu is the democratic equivalent of IBB, he is a maradona and evil genius. He gathers people to himself, mingles with them and make sure they all get something. Long before it came to this roforofo fight, Ambode has annoyed the people that could bring him back with his visionscape debacle. The PSP arrangement was a way of settling all the local party leaders at the very grassroots of Lagos state politics, he gave them a job to do, these guys employed labour and were doing fairly okay. They became millionaires and they were happy with the wisdom of their party leader. Now Ambode in one fell swoop cleared them out, the same guys that would mobilize their people, dance around town, steal ballot boxes and break bones if they have to. How do you think it would end up for him. None of these local warlords would lift a finger for him and he was doomed. Then his only recourse is to hope the citizenry of Lagos would bail him out maybe if he goes to a different party, but that can't happen when he same citizens are drenched in visionscaoe filth and submerged in boreholes on the road.

It seems are fed with the western world propaganda about Russia.

Majority of Russians love Putin and we say majority carries the vote. EOD
Putin is still the President of Russia bro. So if I may ask. Who is Tinubu? He is simply an Ex Governor. His tenure has ended long time ago, he has no biz with Lagos State. To me that guy is a Rogue that needed to be excuted in a sane nation. He killed funsho Williams and many others. I do not understand how this guy has supporters including my Dad. He is a thief, a drug monger, a thug ...

It is not about political smartness, it is about culture. The Igbo man does not believe that one man should dictate to them what happens in their lives. There is no godfather in Igbo land and there can never be. Many have tried and failed, if Tinubu was Igbo, he for do him two terms comot

Tinubu is the one selecting Governors for you people, so if Ambode failed, it is still Tinubu that failed.

You cannot hail Fashola and say it was Tinubu, then condemn Ambode and say, "Tinubu has nothing to do with it".....since Lagos is property of Asiwaju Tinubu and everybody inside is his property, the failure of any Governor is his failure as well

Lagos is benefiting majorly from LOCATION. It is the first place anyone coming into Nigeria lands. It has the only recognized International airport in this country. Please, did OBJ close down MM 1&2 when he was tormenting Tinubu? Did he close the seaports? Did he re-route everything?

Before I know it, you people will say it is Tinubu that brought airport and seaport to Lagos as well. Tinubu, the personal lord and saviour of Lagos state. All of you just sound like people in abusive relationship. You will defend your abuser with your last breath

Lagos has been well stolen from.

Lagosians have been thoroughly cheated and all they have to show for it is short life span and ten hours in traffic every day

If Tinubu had the Midas touch, he should have spread it out to other states in the South West, especially his own home state of Osun.

Lagos is benefiting from being a Federal Project. There was never a time they had 'nothing'
Your claims aren't entirely true.

Do you know that there was a time Obasanjo cut the federal allocation to Lagos to mere pittance but tinubu used his ingenuity to sustain the state? This was the height of the tinubu/OBJ feud in the early 2000s.

Do you know that at one point in time, Lagos state was the only SW state under APC while the rest were lost to PDP/AP/LP and thus Lagos was under continues incendiary political attacks from all sides including the federal govt?

Do you know that fashola was the only governor at one point to ban child hawking on the streets and to enroll any child caught into school (all expenses paid)?

Do you know that Lagos state was the first state to revolutionize transport using brt (which has now sadly become a shadow of itself)?

Do you know that Lagos was the headquarters of the democratic struggle against military rule in the 1990s?

Do you know that Joe igbokwe was made an economic adviser in Lagos state? I doubt if this will be possible on other regions because of tribalism/religious fanaticism?

There are many more instances safari. Bit for sake of space, I'll stop here.

This is a lie. Non-indigenes are the ones holding key positions in Abuja

Lagos State is the only State aside Abuja where a non-indigene can hold a key position, because Lagos is no man's land, like Abuja. The actual indigenes of Abuja are Gwari and Gbagyi, but check representation in HoR and Senate, I doubt you can find anyone from those ethnicities.

Can you find an Igbo man as an adviser in Ogun State? Two HoR members from Lagos State are Igbo.....that is why I stated already that the state owes indigenes of other states for it's progress so far. Tinubu was a governor in Lagos, is he from Lagos? Fashola and Ambode are not indigenes of Lagos, but both occupied seats in Government house.

Can a man from Osun become governor in Ekiti? That example is void because Lagos is the exception to such occurrences. That level of tolerance is not obtainable in any other part of the entire South West. Do you know why? Because EVERYBODY is in Lagos, every ethnicity has a decent level of representation in Lagos. It does not apply in Ekiti or Osun or Ondo, it cannot even happen in Ogun.

Yeah the independence and republicanism of the info man and culture is well known. So that is a factor but we also know that there has not been a maradona and evil genius like tinubu too since 1999. But whatever the case, there is something to be said about continuity in state politics, it has never been too good for a new governor to come in and then make the previous governor a mortal enemy, dismantling and discontinuing anything associated with the previous administration like it has so often happened in the East.

The difference between Lagos and Abia state is that there is no democracy or democratic system/process in the Abia state where people decide their choice while this syste/process is visible in Lagos.

I will rather go for Lagos democratic system than that of Abia state that has autocratic system. grin

Now we are on the same page, tinubu was not just feeding his family or close associates, he made sure it trickled down to the wards, to the baales and obas, almost all notable kings have capital projects they are given to do. That's the astuteness, like a Lagos man will say ' se iwo lo n garri mi ni, nah you dey give me garri chop. Tinubu make sure say the garri reach all the places, not just a few political acolyte. Maybe someone would come and try it in the east and let's see the result. Of course there is also that Yoruba tendency to defer to elders or consultation and swallow insults in the process

Nope, the whole Lagos wanted fashola even when there were issues between him and tinubu and that was a major reason tinubu too could not go the whole nine yards and discard him. Fashola was already sponsoring the labour party for his eventual defection, Ambode has not even given a thought to funding any opposition party yet. There is no sympathy for him on the street unlike the case of fashola. People believed he discontinued fashola stuffs and he is not particularly successful with his own ventures
