landmark86:Say what you know and stop these hasty conclusions...most of these communities like uzere especially araya and emede are kilometers away from a water bodies.......this is a natural disaster and i jope the fulani NERMA responds immediately to amiliorate the sufferngs of the people of ISOKOLAND AND NIGERDELTA AS A WHOLE...we saw responding to flood victims in jigawa State same days ago. Nigerdelta communities in such predicament must be accorded with same gesture from NERMA. |

I doubt a flood of this magnitude could have been prevented. The area might have been below sea level. The river probably broke its banks and no amount of canals would have stopped that. |
