The reason it seems those ex governors you mentioned have gone to political oblivion is because they are not greedy, and believe this world is vanity. None of them are richer than their respective states govt now. Unlike tifnubu who is richer than Lagos. When someone has served as a governor for 8 years, I think he should just retire to his house and start collecting his pension calmly. He should give others chance. We are not going to serve him till his death. Can you retire from your working place and still keep deciding for those who are working there? Tifnubu is a selfish and greedy politician who destroyed AD, and latter merged with about 3 other parties and a faction of the then ruling party, PDP. Without merging with Buhari, do you think he can smell aso rock? So what makes him the most powerful politicians? His influence is limited to south west. He should have tested his influence by vying for the presidency in 2015 or coming 2019, instead of fielding Buhari. After all, he is the most powerful politician presently. I see saraki as more powerful than tifnubu. Tifnubu was a leading advocate of power devolution to states during obasanjo's tenure. He was a leading voice then, shouting 'give more power and money to states. Today, his party is in the centre with majority in the National Assembly. Why does he keep mum on the issue, especially when Nigerians are shouting restructuring? His 37 additional LCDA that he created as a result of which many lagosians suffered a lot of hardship, why is it so difficult for his party to get them recognized by the constitution to enable them have a rights to federal allocations, despite that they are now in power?
