Who still remembers Mbadinuju of Anambra State, Jolly Nyame of Taraba, Mohammed Lawal of Kwara, Segun Osoba of Ogun, Attahiru Bafarawa of Sokoto, Achike Udenwa of Imo, Victor Attah of Akwa Ibom, Orji Uzor Kalu of Abia? That one has lost two consecutive senatorial elections. But Tinubu has not only managed to remain extremely relevant, he has continued to control Lagos politics 100%. Not only that, he manages to carry his boys along and today they occupy critical positions in our national life. Take it or leave it, Tinubu is today, Nigeria's most powerful politician. It didn't just happen by chance. He worked very hard for it. Very very hard. The hallmark of a true leader is not just the ability to rule well but also the ability to nurture and groom his associates.

The nobody's here on NL who haven't for once gone as close as to sniff Tinubu's armpit asides their sick heads buried deep inside his Anus will borrow data and come here to be insulting their fathers who got a command from Tinubu before he got the liver to climb their mothers and birthed them as reprobates will be mouthing off here.

Got nothing against Tinubu I just hate to be attacked or called names because I refused to be a herded ram like you...

I've got a head and a mind of my own, I'd use it however I deem fit and if you can't respect my views because it doesn't align with yours, how about you move on and not resort to insults.

And these are the poorest in the society whose mothers are somewhere on the rail tracks of Lagos displaying their tomato and pepper wares while their fathers are struggling to push a cart around the streets of Lagos for survival.

I have never seen an incumbent governor being humiliated in such manner

In 1999, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu was elected Governor of Lagos State. His then party, the Alliance for Democracy (AD) produced all the governors of the South West. By 2003, Tinubu was the onl y governor left in the AD. He was under pressure to decamp but he stayed. He built the party and it became stronger. For the eight years that he ruled Lagos, he hired several guys to work with him. I think he carefully picked them. Apart from using them to work in his government, he also groomed them for the future. Eight years down the line, see where those Tinubu guys are today - 1. Prof Yemi Osinbajo, SAN was Tinubu's Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice. He is today, Nigeria's Vice President. 2. Rauf Aregbesola was Tinubu's Commissioner for Works. Today he is serving his second tenure as Governor of Osun State. 3. Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN was Tinubu's Chief of Staff and successor in office. He is today Nigeria's Minister of Power, Works and Housing. 4. Alhaji Lai Mohammed was Tinubu's first Chief of Staff. He is today, Nigeria's Minister of Information 5. Babatunde Fowler was appointed by Tinubu as Chairman of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service. Today, he is the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service. At the National Assembly, there are countless "Tinubu boys" who have occupied and are still occupying seats till today. Since 1999, the Tinubu camp has produced almost 98% of the members of the National Assembly from Lagos State. Forget politics, this man is a political enigma. Rewind to 1999, I am sure most of us have forgotten the names of the People who were elected Governors then. Some of them have gone out of circulation. Some are gasping for breath politically. Indeed, most of them are no longer relevant today. This attempt to give the issue a moral face no work with me, Lagos is abgero and area boy politics - gutter mentality APC!
None of them gives a damn about the masses, Tinubu calls the shots always...he was stepped on and he reacted - nothing to do with environment, sanitation, tax and all that jargon.

Tinubu is a very sensitive guy so silly things like removing Hakeem Muri–Okunola from Lands bureau and attempting to claim back some Lagos properties stolen by Tinubu is enough to start fight!

I told him that the Yoruba progressives don't copy, they have their model. The difference between our model and yours can be seen in the political, infrastructural and economical progress we have both made if you can compare. Tinubu is not a Yoruba leader just like Awolowo was not, Tinubu is the leader of Yoruba Progressives just like Awolowo. Wailers never accepted Awolowo same way they don't accept Jagaban. But a typical husband child in Yoruba Land is naturally a Progressive. We believe that one Imam is enough for a Mosque and that there should not be two G.Os in one Church. By progress, do you mean our yoruba states like Osun, oyo and co performing below northern states like Borno, sokoto far beneath the Igbo states in educational statistics as published by WAEC?

Education and development go hand in hand all over the world. The most educated are usually the most developed. As far this country is concerned, that your friend whom I guess is Ibo and Igbo region are more developed than yoruba region, largely.

Promoting illiteracy and zombiesm can not be seen as 'progress'. Education opens the eyes, and make you ask questions and be independent, illiteracy makes you chained im ignorance, dependent, makes you shout 'tuale', 'baba sope', 'rankadede' and keeps you grounded in political slavery. Many tyrants and Godfathers hate an educated followership, maybe that's why they are destroying education in yorubaland. grin

Ideologically does it sound nice? This may work for you in present day Nigeria, but long term wise will it?
Looking at Nigeria, and with all that politicians are doing presently, do you think, this is the best that Nigeria can get?

All this na wash I beg.
The reason it seems those ex governors you mentioned have gone to political oblivion is because they are not greedy, and believe this world is vanity. None of them are richer than their respective states govt now. Unlike tifnubu who is richer than Lagos.
When someone has served as a governor for 8 years, I think he should just retire to his house and start collecting his pension calmly. He should give others chance. We are not going to serve him till his death.
Can you retire from your working place and still keep deciding for those who are working there?

Tifnubu is a selfish and greedy politician who destroyed AD, and latter merged with about 3 other parties and a faction of the then ruling party, PDP. Without merging with Buhari, do you think he can smell aso rock? So what makes him the most powerful politicians? His influence is limited to south west. He should have tested his influence by vying for the presidency in 2015 or coming 2019, instead of fielding Buhari. After all, he is the most powerful politician presently. I see saraki as more powerful than tifnubu.

Tifnubu was a leading advocate of power devolution to states during obasanjo's tenure. He was a leading voice then, shouting 'give more power and money to states. Today, his party is in the centre with majority in the National Assembly. Why does he keep mum on the issue, especially when Nigerians are shouting restructuring?
His 37 additional LCDA that he created as a result of which many lagosians suffered a lot of hardship, why is it so difficult for his party to get them recognized by the constitution to enable them have a rights to federal allocations, despite that they are now in power? Why does he keep quiet now?
