Happy birthday to Kelechi onye nkwa!!!

But errrm, KC isn't the pride of Owerri city, Papilo Nwankwo Kanu, the great son of the kingdom of Arochukwu, is the one and only true prince/pride of the city of Owerri.
depends on your generation.

Owerri has the right to have multiple prides. Kelechi is ebeano right now, Papilo time don pass.

most states are better than 1999, it is not just Lagos. Enugu, Cross River, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, all better than 1999 if you ask some..... But since Nigeria as a nation is worse off, I don't see where the celebration is. Progress is measured by living standard of the people, are Lagosians doing better today than they were doing in 1999?

You are so satisfied with worshipping another man, you put your own self and your generation unborn unto slavery.

Truly when Kanye said slavery is a choice, he was referring to today's Africans. Willing slaves, satisfied with crumbs, comfortably living lives that even dogs in the West cannot live.
Wrong. Anambra was not better from 1999 - 2003 under the administration of Chinwoke Mbadinuju until Ndidi came. Without Chris Ngigi, Anambra state will still remain comatose. He sets the standard that forced others to build on it. He made people knew Anambra state had money to develop the state.

How was Akwa Ibom better from 1999 -2007 before Akpabio came in? In comatose. Nothing better. Most indigenes never wanted to associate themselves with their states and people from other states mocked and despised anything from there. Akpabio was the game changer who brought respect and self dignity to the indigenes and even brought Akwa Ibom into the world map with world class infrastructures. He made people knew money dey but few people dey chop money. What can be said about his current successor? Zero.

Indeed Cross River became better since 1999 under Donald duck but what happened afterwards?

What about River State before Ameachi came? It was nothing better until he restored River State to his lost glory.

Somebody asked "Is Lagos better TODAY than it was in 1999?"

Instead of you to focus on the word 'today' you are dragging in 2003, 2007, are those years today? Please, the question is about "Today". And as far as today is concerned, multiple states are better today than they were in 1999

Moussa Dembélé (70') Léo Dubois (72')

Lyon rally for draw with Shakhtar Donetsk in match behind closed doors

10:44 PM

Lyon produced a stirring fightback to claw back two superb goals from Shakhtar Donetsk's Junior Moraes and rescue a 2-2 draw behind closed doors in a thrilling end-to-end contest at their Groupama Stadium on Tuesday.

Lyon, serving a one-game crowd ban for trouble caused by their fans during their Europa League tie against CSKA Moscow in March, looked set to pay the price as their early performance fell as flat as the atmosphere in the eerily-silent 59,000-seat arena.

Looking nothing like the inspired, organised outfit that had defeated Manchester City sensationally 2-1 in England in their opening Group F match, Lyon were outplayed in the first half and deservedly fell behind just before the break to a superb left-footed strike from Moraes.

The Brazilian then doubled the lead with an even better second 10 minutes after half-time, curling his slide rule, side-footed effort into the corner from a narrow angle.

Suddenly, if belatedly, Lyon roused themselves, with Moussa Dembele finally heading one back in the 70th minute after having already missed two fine chances and Leo Dubois striking his first goal for the club just a couple of minutes later.

Both sides hunted for the winner with abandon in the last quarter-hour with first the Ukrainians looking as if they might collapse under the fightback but then almost stealing victory with a late flourish when a shot from substitute Olarenwaju Kayode struck the bar.

The draw left Lyon still at the head of the table on four points but Manchester City, who had earlier won 2-1 at Hoffenheim, took over in second place with three points as Shakhtar had to settle for a second successive 2-2 draw

Now if kayode keep scoring few goals ,why will anyone argue with you that he should not be invited ?

Well, hope to...but with the form of Moraes, he should play the second fiddle.

It's a normal thing.
My dear, with Kayode's place in Rohr's book, if he failed to force his way through the starting eleven, then forget it, he aint getting nothing from Rohr. He failed at Girona, so he has to do it at Shaktar Donetsk or better yet, move to Liverpool u23 team because we all know he is the only Nigerian striker that can start there. If Kelechi Iheanacho could bulldoze his way through wt Dzeko, Bony, Aguero, Nolito et al to contend with and now at Leicester with Vardy, Okazaki et al, then who is Moraes that Kayode can not bench him even though little Olunga of Kenya consigned him(Kayode) to the bench at Girona. So bro, he has to force his way ooo, little Kelechi did it in better clubs so the onus is out on Kayode now. It is a challenge, besides he is Eagles best striker, hence shouldn't be playing second fiddle to a low class striker in the Ukrainian league, while the worst striker is a starter for a midtable team(Leicester) in the mighty EPL.

We want to use the weather to our advantage. High temperatures, high humidity: Recipe for easy drenching of Energy and dehydration. The North Africans will likely struggle.

We expect the return leg to be played at Night under flood lights. So we need to maximize our chances here in Aba. Every factor counts.

Kelechi Nwakali played second fiddle during his days at Manchester city. He was never a starter. Fact

Kelechi Iheanacho we know was a bench warmer at Leicester city last season. That explained him starting only 7 games out of 32 matches he was available to play, came from the bench 14 times and wasn't used in 11 games.

Well Kelechi is not our best striker, Kayode is. And if our worst striker is a starter in the Epl this season, then our best striker has no excuse for playing second fiddle in the Ukrainian league after playing second fiddle to Olunga of Kenya with laliga giants, Girona. Dont u think so? grin grin
