Ok, thank you for bringing this post here. The current Senate President WILL never be allowed near Aso Rock. For his supporters anywhere supporting a "younger" relic from an era of dynastic entitlement and dis-empowermemt of rurl communities whether they are from the NC, SW or SE, It is a sign of degraded moral standards that a failed Bank chief, money launderer and budget padder is even under consideration for President and we WILL respond with votes. AGAIN. Thank you very much for bringing it here. I think you have ME confused for someone of weak convictions. Also, if you are of low confidence in terms of psychology and can't let go of criticism or accept differences of opinion, let me express how pathetically SAD that is. Most men get out of this stupidity business before age 30. Anyway, it's your life. |

Sinking to the depths of tribalism only shows how shallow, bereft of critical thinking and plain empty you are, Sternprophet. I only wanted everyone to see how worthless you really are. Carry your cross of tribalism everywhere you are, what's the satisfaction of displaying your primitive behavior in one section of nairaland, when you can take it wherever you are? |

AND by the way, Mr Non-engineer, you need to show me the hundreds of Ara MRAPs that have been done, dusted and delivered to the N.A. since 2016. I know that's where all your psychological problems and inferiorities are coming from. Maybe a few pictures from Nigeria's independence anniversary. I am not a tribalist. The man I warned people against voting for is from my tribe pretending to be from another. I actually know his family from way back. I was a patron of his Dad 's clinic in Lagos as far back as 1979. My only reason for calling out places where he is getting support was because I know the psychology of Nigeria and the passive aggressive positions that people take when they are being sentimental. |

JUST IN: ISWAP results to fake propaganda and lies. The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a publication by the so called ISWAP on some foreign online websites, blogs and Social media handles attributing their successes during their failed incursion into Gashigar on 26 Aug 18. For the benefit of doubt the NA had released an official statement on the failed attack as contained here; http://www.army.mil.ng/press-release-garshigar-encounter-troops-rout-boko-haram-insurgents/ Consequently, you are all requested to disregard the report which confirms the desperation of a totally degraded and disoriented ISWAP aimed at deceiving innocent Nigerians to swell their ranks and sympathizers. |

PRESS RELEASE FALSE PUBLICATION OF BOKO HARAM ATTACK ON GARSHIGAR BY ISWAP 1. The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to false publication by so called ISWAP on one foreign online media stating that, Boko Haram successfully attack troops at Garshigar on 26 August 2018. The report is not false rather propaganda made to mislead the general public. During the failed attack troops mercilessly dealt with the Boko Haram Terrorists thereby neutralizing numbers of them and recovered weapons. 2. To put the record straight the Nigerian Army earlier issued an official statement to that effect stating successes recorded by troops when the terrorists attempted to infiltrate Garshigar. 3. Consequently the general public is requested to disregard the report circulated by bloggers, handlers and influencers on various social media platform. ISAWP report is not only tarnishing but also aimed at deceiving innocent Nigerians and discredit the military operations against the Boko Haram Terrorists. 4.To this end the report will not distract the Nigerian Army in its effort to decimate the terrorists as our troops are highly determine to flush them out of our territory. 5.. The Nigerian Army therefore calls on online media to always verify facts before making any publication. Henceforth the Nigerian Army will take legal action on any false publication capable of discrediting its effort. 6. You are please requested to disseminate this information to the general public. giles14:Why are these comments showing up here?. Please answer me under the right thread. However, i beg your pardon, my state is Osun State. It is landlocked and there are mentally malnourished people as well. This is the most harmless statement to make to people who are not guilty. It is not an insult. This statement "someone differs from your view and ideology is now a crime" is completely not in context. Mentally malnourished people actually don't have any ideology, They also don't reason properly that is why they lynch pickpockets in Nigeria but looters of billions who wreck banks and make depositors lose money get to contest for President and some people vote for them. |

rugged7:Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has refused an application by members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra seeking the nullification of the proscription order made against the group on September 20. Members of IPOB had approached the court after it made an order proscribing the group as a terror organisation last September. IPOB had through its lawyers, led by Ifeanyi Ejiofor, alleged a violation of its fundamental rights to fair hearing and freedom of assembly by the federal government in its (governments) motion brought ex parte. An ex parte motion is one that does not require the participation of all sides before a decision can be taken by the court. In his ruling, Justice Abdul Kafarati said the basic instrument in the particular ex parte motion was the approval of the Nigerian president which was stated to have been given in the application brought by the Attorney General of the Federation. Consequently, the court said it was of the view that: “the application brought by the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation ex-parte was properly brought”. He added that the rights of the IPOB members were not abused as alleged by their lawyers and ordered N500,000 as damages to be paid by the applicant. The proscription order made by the court in September, came days after the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, went missing from his home in Abia State. Mr. Kanu who is facing trial with other defendants on alleged terrorism and other related offences has not been seen since last September. go and argue with the federal government |

joshingjosh:The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has revealed the main reason the federal government branded the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) a terrorist organization. According to the Minister, the pro-Biafra group had to be labeled a terror group in order to halt its global funding and, by extension, its ‘future’. Mohammed, who made this known in an article he wrote for Washington Times, appealed to Nigeria’s “international partners to do the same.” He wrote, “Currently, streams of cash come from across the globe to swell the organization’s stockpile of weapons. Yet funding of terrorism is illegal in international law. Only with the group’s correct categorization will our international partners be able to halt the financing — and with it, IPOB’s future. “Terrorism is often called the power of the weak. That IPOB indeed are. But if the last decade has taught us anything, it is how quickly the weak can become strong. “The government reiterates its appeal to its international partners to proscribe the organization, and in doing so, starve it of the funds which gives it sustenance. “Nigeria has just defeated one preventable terrorist insurgency. This one must not be given the chance to get a foothold. “The threat posed by the organization may be low. IPOB commands little grass-root support in the South East (the region it calls Biafra). All South-East governors have collectively condemned IPOB’s calls for secession. And local traditional and religious leaders have weighed into the debate, restating that absolute integrity of Nigeria. “Violence, much less terrorism, never solves grievance. And for that reason, the overwhelming majority of residents in the South-East reject IPOB. They know the ballot box offers the best mechanism for redress. “In spite of this, the latent threat is high. Boko Haram similarly had little support in the North East in 2009. They didn’t need it. Armed with terror and buoyed by government inaction, they seized large swathes of land. Inertia in Abuja lubricated the group’s advance. But now due to this government’s actions, Boko Haram hold no local districts. “This administration shall not make the same mistake as the last. We will take the rapid, precise and necessary action required to deal with IPOB now. “The government recognizes in IPOB’s lust for destruction a trait shared with Boko Haram. It also appreciates a qualitative difference in the threat. Unlike Boko Haram — a regional insurgency — IPOB breeds insecurity across the whole nation. In their divisive and inciting rhetoric, they jeopardize the very social fabric that binds us.” What truth are you talking about, the federal government of Nigeria said IPOB is a terrorist organization |
