Good morning everyone, pls I need your candid advice.

I have been given admission for advanced diploma in finance at Nova Scotia college. I am an HND holder and someone once told me advanced diploma is equivalent to HND in Nigeria that d chances of visa issuance is slim.

Is dis true?
Should I still go ahead with the visa processing, or is der anyone who has been in my shoes before?

Thanks everyone. Is re-applying immediately (after tackling loopholes) disadvantageous?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 11:38am On Oct 03, 2018
There is nothing bad in re-applting immediately. But i will advise you get ur GCMS note first before re-applying. GCMS notes tells you the main reason why ur Visa was rejected unlike the generic refusal note you were given when ur application was rejected. So Order for ur GCMS notes, so you will know how to get ur visa in ur next application. Do not rush to re-apply. Peace

Send an email to CIC ASAP, cos your passport shouldn't have stayed more than 7 days(normal) with them after submission. Best of luck

I sent an email since last week but no response

No, my account was not updated for the passport submission. However, I tracked my submission with the reference number on the submission slip I got from vfs. I also received a mail from canada Visa application centre that my passport was ready for collection after. 2 working days.

I also think you should contact cic as earlier advised by mcobex.

my passport tracking has been saying that the application is still at the Canada visa office

is that what you saw also?

i really wanted to do that but it would take 40 -60 days before i get gcms notes, then re-applying would take about 3 months before i get feedback from embassy and resumption is 4th of January 2019. if i defer again, it wont be so nice either because the next session after that is september and i'm a newly wed, I'm leaving certain things on hold (child-birth etc) till after I get there. this is my predicament.

Well if you have the nudge with faith you could go ahead with your re-application, but only if you have tackled the prominent problems described after your first denial. Spice-up your previous docs a bit more. I will also advise you to use paper route which seem faster lately. In 2months you should have a decision,. Overall this thing na God, no be man power. If you planning January put your application in before the middle of this month and dash up the mountain of prayer whatever your religion.

Ok. You can re-apply without ordering ur GCMS and still get ur Visa. I am seen someone re-applying without ordering for GCMS notes and he got his Visa. Note: Thats just 1 person out of so many that tried it. But with what you have just explain, You can re-apply in faith without the GCMS. I will advise you read up the thread from page i or previous parts. You will definietly encounter someone that got the same reasons as ur own and what he or she did to get his or her Visa. So if u cant wait for 3o days to get ur GCMS note, I expect you spend hours/days/weeks reading up this thread from Part 1 and I assure you will get info on how to tackle ur reasons without the GCMS Note. Best of luck. Peace

Good day guys and thanks for a great job.

Please how long does it take for one to get his passport when it has been approved?

It is a paper application which was linked online. This morning it shows that application has been approved, but no message yet from VFS Lagos where the passport and application was submitted or from Nairobi Kenya where the application was processed.

Thanks for the likes but I need answers please

They are just not predictable. Sometimes online route may get faster result than paper, other times paper route maybe faster. The thing with these V.Os that I've noticed is that they just don't have any rules. They apply whatever suits them. It's just a crazy system
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by thompson1510(m): 3:14pm On Oct 03, 2018
mcobex:

1. If you are going via the paper route you will pay the app fee on the day of submission. Once you are ready to submit your app just carry the money(cash) and every documents involve in the process.
2. Deed of transfer will be helpful. Your mum needs to write that the land has been given to you. Any other document relating to the land will come handy as well.
3. Any document relating to the car will do(registration, proof of ownership etc).
4. You don't need to proof anything since you are notarroed to her, just submit copy of your baby's birth certificate, your baby Mama's ID then explain the rest on your SOP. You can state that she is the mother of your baby and you intend getting married to her soon.
About if CIC verify marriage cert, hope you don't intend forging it for yourself? Cos CIC verify EVERY document you submit to them and store them in their system, so be careful. In the case of your mum and I don't think it will be a problem cos she isn't the principal applicant...
Thanks for your swift response bro...this goes a long way...I can never forge a document because I don't wanna get suspended. Have a great day...thanks once again

Thank you so much. I will do just that.

alftdbts:

Just state the obvious, mention both countries. I have been denied a US and U.K. visa in the past (If you not sure when do not put date).
You don't necessarily have to provide any detail if you don't know why! Most time reasons for denial in both countries are vague sef.

Bro have you found a way to tackle the sponsorship issue that was pointed out by the VO? You can prove he is your uncle by showing birth certificate (yours and his) and he can also show commitment by making a payment towards your fees or transferring the amount to your account and then write a very good and convincing SOP.

In your SOP, make sure you emphasise on returning to naija cos of your family (this is very important, stress it). Make sure you sell your string points convincingly.

Your SOP should not be too long, make it brief and straight to the point. Focus on addressing issues raised and then sell your string points.

Let your sponsor also write a good, touching and emotional SOP. Why is he sponsoring you? He could say it was a promise he made to your late parents (this is just an example). For emphasis, It should be something very touching and emotional. His SOP should also not be too much. I suggest maximum of 500 words. He should also state clearly how this will not be a burden to him and how he has made a transfer of so so amount to your account to show seriousness. He can swear an affidavit of sponsorship. He can also show his statement of account to show he is financially stable to sponsor you etc

You dont have to wait for GCMS note once you can tackle the above points very well and then add the initial documents you added before and apply. Please reapply in the next 1 week.

Finally, pray, fast and then sow a seed on your application or pledge to God that if he does it for you, you will do this for him. It worked for me, I pray it does for you as well. Take this very serious. I have had a visa to Uk, still have a visa to USA and now Canada and it has always been this method of sowing a seed, praying and fasting that has worked for me (of cos after putting the necessary work of getting all the right documents). You will testify.

Hello NL, please I need a sample of sponsors letter. Just offered admission to Concordia University of Edmonton and resumption is 9th Jan 2019. Planning to submit by next week latest.

Got a total of 10m naira in fixed deposit plus treasury bill. Estimated fees is 35000CAD.
Will this be sufficient to apply or I get someone as co-sponsor ? Can my boss be sponsor?
Masters In Information System Assurance Management.

I have a BSc Accounting, MBA and ACA (chartered accountant). 4 yrs accounting and 6 yrs banking experience.
Paid 2500CAD registration deposit.

What's my chance of getting the visa?

Hi frds,

I just resumed this Fall at MUN (PhD) and my daughter is American (US passport); does she need any form of doc to enter Canada? Considering that I will be here for 4yrs will she be giving same duration on my visa? Anyone with similar experience or info? Appreciate your update as my family will be joining me soon.

Is that final payment Or will they ask you for more after securing the admission.

You may consider searching and applying yourself. Do you have any work experience? Many people get masters admission with 2/2. Perhaps the agents tell people this to either channel them to another institution or program which they have been contracted to recruit students in. I will consider such agents lacking in integrity if they are mischievously providing inaccurate information or having inadequate knowledge of the services they offer if it is innocent misrepresentation, which I doubt.

Meanwhile, I have noticed that folks on this thread practice self-censorship and avoid use of certain words like the word in bold above. That has been the culture voluntarily followed here as we speak like Romans, in Rome. I will beg the indulgence of others to take it with a pinch of salt as you are experiencing shock of parting with 100k. It may provide you some solace to note that we have been trying to find out how to recover someones 5k CAD non-refundable tuition deposit since morning after being denied a visa. Among other attributes, Canada will teach you the art of patience and perseverance so strap on your seat belt. If you succeed eventually, you will forget all the hustle and emerge a stronger, wiser and much more exposed individual.

Hello Galala,

The bolded above caught my attention. I also have 2K CAD non-refundable tuition deposit with MUN.

While hoping for the best, I’m preparing for the worst. I will like to know if you were able to get a way to recover the supposedly non-refundable 5K CAD.

Anyone in the house with tangible info can also advice.

Hello NL,

CiC requested for a medical examination for me and I did it on Thursday Sept 27. It's still not updated till now.

Please how long does it take for medicals to be updated after request from CIC or do I need to send them a mail before it can be updated?

Also, for those that sent mails before their medicals was updated, did u attach any medical result? As I was not given the result from Children Practice.
