Event if he is saying the truth. We know Iheanacho and co were toddlers who grew through the youth rank before they reached puberty in our two korokoro eyes. They might be a year or two years older but 30 na lie. grin
I'm shocked bro..Some were saying he is 42.
These are the same Nigerians that watched the 2013 u-17 world cup and saw how.young that set was.... Even the 2015 set..
A lot of Nigerians just watch the national team games...They don't follow the national team or the players...
If the likes of Samuel Chukwueze,Kingsley Michael and Osimhen resurface in the super eagles now, they will b saying they are old...

thanks for this

Lagos is the only state, aside Abuja, where University admission is not based on cachment area. What happened to indigenes there too? In the next hundred years, who will occupy Lagos? The indigenes of Lagos don't make up 15% of the population.

Those omoniles you speak of are not even indigenes, they are settlers like most of the people in Lagos. Lagos and Abuja are distinctly different from every other state in Nigeria, the only other state close to them is PH.

As far as I am concerned, Lagos has transcended tribal affiliations. It belongs to everybody and belongs to nobody. It was built by the blood and sweat of all Nigerians from all walks of life and all erhnicities, so, it is an injustice to omit those people, some spanning three generations, from Lagos, and refer to them as non-indigenes. And no, contrary to popular belief, the day Nigeria scatters, some people that are referred to as 'non-indigenes' will not have a hometown to go to, because their entire lives are in Lagos
Lagos state use catchment areas for admission.

I can try to vouch for those that went through the MRI test but those that didn't Lol. Dude I have a 36year old friend whose official age is 22. He has played in Israeli 2nd division and in Cyprus too. He is back in Nigeria now to sort another passport and lower his age as his new agent is arranging a trial for him in Morocco. He is an age mate of Ifeanyi Onyilo. They both grew up together but while Ifeanyi has been a bit more successful in Europe even with a doctored age too, my nigga has been going about sleeping with white women, reason he was released by his club in Israel.

it is not a majority by far. I was admitted there less than a decade ago, I saw the list. I compared it with other schools.

if a census is carried out in Unilag, you would have 50% Yoruba and the other 50% would be other ethnicities. Do a census in OAU and you will find that 88% would be Yoruba, with 12% other ethnicities. Take a survey in UNN, that one is even worse. If you find up to hundred people in the entire school who aren't from the East or affiliated to the East in some way, you have done well

That is why I said Unilag is the most diverse school in Nigeria, only outdone by University of Abuja. The diversity in Unilag is not seen in other Universities. If they practiced cachnent area in strict terms, like everywhere else, you wouldn't find up to 40% of students that are not Yoruba

And I still insist that Yorubas are not the indigenes of Lagos, they are settlers. In another two hundred years, someone will call Igbos indigenes of Lagos, having settled there for centuries.

What I think she is saying Lagos is not overwhelmingly dominated by one ethnic group.

It is a cosmopolitan city and as it evolves into to a world class mega city, local tribal affiliations will become irrelevant.

In this regard the "No man's Land" is quite apt it's not one man's land but everybody's. That for me is great progress leaving the legacy of tribalism and its evils behind.
Well said! Oga Southgate.

Here's the reply I got on a comment I made on brila FM Facebook page regarding Iheanacho birthday post (d usual age cheat talk from Nigerians)

I'm a bit surprised.. is it possible??

tbaba1234 icon4s TheSuperNerd TheGoodJoe Komekn and other MRI experts on the thread, kindly shed more light on it....
That is the general perception people have out there. You will be shocked that many do not know that these plays went through the MRI. They don't even know what it is.

They have been carried away by the age long cheating tradition and so have concluded that any Nigerian footballer is an age cheat.

The MRI may not be 100% accurate but its 90% accuracy level is good enough for us to cub age cheating to a very reasonable level.

You saw Iheanacho when he played U17. Compare his height between then and now. Remember also that boys only stop growing at age 21.

He hasn't really been bad if we are to be fair to him.

if you notice these people, their response usually has one pattern

They never experience anything, it is always the 'cousin's or 'a friend' or 'a neighbour'....leave these people alone. Let him provide the name of this cousin or hold his peace, that is how we will take him seriously

How can someone close to 30 pass an MRI? Is it even logical?

Nigerians are some of the most pathetic and bitter people on the internet. They revel in reducing themselves in the eyes of right-thinking members of society

If you follow their comments on social media, you will think Nigeria is the most corrupt country in the world and everybody there is dying of poverty and starvation. Whatever bad opinion the world has of this country, it is the people that caused it. Forget yahoo boys, even the ones that are not doing fraud are damaging our reputation. You will not find another country whose people ridicule it the way we ridicule this country. I cannot count the amount of times I have done a face smack after reading a comment by a Nigerian on some social media.

The orientation we need in this country is great. Even Somalia that has faced years of war, their people do not go to the internet to wail and rub mud on their faces like Nigerians do. Honestly, I feel the government should start regulating internet use in this country. If that is what it will take to stop the constant embarrassment, let them do it, instead of allowing this people make utter fools of themselves and this country

Na so them talk say "Taiye Taiwo was celebrating his 30th Birthday in London while his Kehinde was celebrating 40th Birthday in Lagos". Meanwhile it turned out to be that Taiye's Kehinde died after child birth. That same useless rumor came up again last year or so and some people took the opportunity to lash Taiye Taiwo and the entire Nigerian football community again. Only for me to tell them that News was a fat lie and that it had surfaced a couple of years earlier.
Look even at the case of rumor of Uzoho celebrating his son's 17th birthday.

Sincerely, so many Nigerians need serious reorientation.

i see people gnashing teeth about Nigeria as weak, lazy, broke unenlightened, unsatisfied greedy fellows..

1st of all, no destination, career, environment, job guarantees happiness.. Happiness and satisfaction is self built no matter the condition one finds him/herself.

Some of these 1st world countries they asslick tops in suicidal rates.. And suicide means self insecurity, unsatisfaction, depressions, and lots more.. If their is a safe haven, these things isn't supposed to be happening..

People always wishing, expecting to be what, where they ain't.... But can't even sacrifice to better lives, place, and country they re in..
And also forgetting that things, places they go through makes them who they re...

At the end of the day whats the use of rants if ur rants doesn't go past ur smart phone, or ceiling of ur roof.. Can't even change a dime..
