I do not think so. It is due to cultural difference.

Igbos are generally hardworking class of people and doesnt depend or lick any fellow human being Ass like their counterparts in the other zone in Nigeria who serve mini god and follows him anywhere he goes.Igbos are talented and an average Igbo is on his own because they are hardworking and do not depend on fellow men.Thats why what is happening in this Zone where one person will dictate what a whole zone will do and all will follow whether they like it or not can NEVER happen in Igbo land. Can somebody define Slavery to me. Can somebody also define democracy for me. Igbos are blessed.

He is holding the power in leadership in trust on behalf of the Yoruba so that someone is held accountable for every action taken by the political leadership of the Yoruba. That's why you will see that a Gov. Fayose sees no qualms in recognizing Asiwaju's place as his leader despite being in a different political party and how the Yoruba elite, across political divide quickly heeded his call to save the Yoruba race from the embarrassment the punishment of Gov. Aregbesola with a defeat would have caused the Yoruba if Sen. Adeleke is elected with his very poor education(he didn't even pass ordinary Level WAEC and wants to lead the Yoruba parents who can spend their last Kobo and go hungry to get their children educated)

He must regularly consult and take the inputs from the Kabiyesis, Chiefs,Yoruba Intelligentsia, Business community( formal and informal market leaders), the influencers, traditional power blocs like the ogbonis, Ifa priests, alumni groups, social clubs, Parapos, OPC, Agbekoya etc), Professional groups,Armed forces(retired and serving) Civil servants,Religious leaders, Youth/Women groups and Yoruba in the diaspora.

This is the hallmark of all successful races. A person represents the abstract form of power and holds it in trust for the collective while the led continue to pray for him/her to be a wise and successful leader. That is why the Bible counsels Christians to pray for their leaders.
Interestingly,Asiwaju earned the leadership role he's occupying and has been seen as a rallying point for the Yoruba interest that is politically aligned with national interest.

In the Yoruba culture, the led are very powerful and can serve severe punishment on any leader that strays from his allegiance to their courses. That's why the June 12 struggle consumed some leaders and birthed new leaders.

The Yoruba society is very dynamic and if you are a leader, you really have to be very careful because one costly political blunder can bring a death knell to your political career.
I believe very soon, the society of the other tribes will soon realise that in every struggle, you need a rallying central figure.
In the Yoruba culture, anytime anything goes wrong,in family, village, association, churches, name it, they always blame the leadership first by asking "ko si olori lagan ni?"( Is there no leader in the place?)
In trust ? Have you been to yoruba villages and see the 18th century dwelling ? Have you seen the education statistics and know that Yoruba are the least educated tribe in southern Nigeria....have you gone to parks in Lagos

Did I hear you say in trust....does it mean nobody thinks outside the box there

I am struggling to understand the correlation of your response with what I typed because if you are a social scientist who attended a university, you would have been taught how human societies are formed and organized.

Even in prehistoric times where there was even no formal schools in existence, human beings delegate leadership to one significant member of their society to hold such power in trust so please read about sociological perspectives of human beings.
Secondly, please when you quote data, provide the links to support it so that it becomes an intelligent and verifiable reference point.
18th century is a time period from 1701 to 1800 in history so please let me have places in Yoruba land still living in that kind of past for it would be a valuable information for archaeological studies.

I am his slave if that would make you happy. I will rather pray for him to succeed and touch lives of people in a most genuine way than hate or begrudge his hard earned political success while I pray that I become a successful leader of Yoruba extraction like Tinubu someday. It is very very very difficult to lead and a person leading millions of people deserves genuine prayers for success.
I have been in leadership long enough and bear scars enough to know that there are some people who in life you can never please and sometimes these haters can even be your blood relatives or best friends.
May God give Nigeria great leaders in all levels of leadership.

How much in cash and kind does Buhari settle his millions of die-hard followers in northern Nigeria for them to love and follow him sheepishly?
Go figure!!!

I speak for those who have ,perhaps, a greater stake than you in Yoruba affairs and hold the power to sack Asiwaju in the event he goes off track.
But since I know and more exposed to the great power of positive influence a leader holds in the life of the led,I sincerely want Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to succeed.
I want everyone around me to succeed in all their legitimate endeavors in life.

as a Yoruba man, your assertion is stwepid.. no Yoruba has greater stake than another Yoruba, we all want a better country, not the shithole your asiwere tinuofo has engineered with all his so called leadership.

This man is indeed unique. People might called names but for is a great man.
Famzer:
A truly great patriot!
He's so consistently brave and politically strategic.
Seeing how those who betray him go into political oblivion, right from Sen. Kofowora Buknor, his deputy in 1999,I believe there's something very special about this great man and if you ignore him, you do so at your political peril.
I can't wait to see him roll out his campaign for the highest office of the land in 2023.
May God bless him and the rest of us with great health and success to live even beyond 2023.
