A truly great patriot!
He's so consistently brave and politically strategic.
Seeing how those who betray him go into political oblivion, right from Sen. Kofowora Buknor, his deputy in 1999,I believe there's something very special about this great man and if you ignore him, you do so at your political peril.
I can't wait to see him roll out his campaign for the highest office of the land in 2023.
May God bless him and the rest of us with great health and success to live even beyond 2023.

StillX10:
One man controlling the whole Yoruba nation
He is holding the power in leadership in trust on behalf of the Yoruba so that someone is held accountable for every action taken by the political leadership of the Yoruba. That's why you will see that a Gov. Fayose sees no qualms in recognizing Asiwaju's place as his leader despite being in a different political party and how the Yoruba elite, across political divide quickly heeded his call to save the Yoruba race from the embarrassment the punishment of Gov. Aregbesola with a defeat would have caused the Yoruba if Sen. Adeleke is elected with his very poor education(he didn't even pass ordinary Level WAEC and wants to lead the Yoruba parents who can spend their last Kobo and go hungry to get their children educated)

He must regularly consult and take the inputs from the Kabiyesis, Chiefs,Yoruba Intelligentsia, Business community( formal and informal market leaders), the influencers, traditional power blocs like the ogbonis, Ifa priests, alumni groups, social clubs, Parapos, OPC, Agbekoya etc), Professional groups,Armed forces(retired and serving) Civil servants,Religious leaders, Youth/Women groups and Yoruba in the diaspora.

This is the hallmark of all successful races. A person represents the abstract form of power and holds it in trust for the collective while the led continue to pray for him/her to be a wise and successful leader. That is why the Bible counsels Christians to pray for their leaders.
Interestingly,Asiwaju earned the leadership role he's occupying and has been seen as a rallying point for the Yoruba interest that is politically aligned with national interest.

In the Yoruba culture, the led are very powerful and can serve severe punishment on any leader that strays from his allegiance to their courses. That's why the June 12 struggle consumed some leaders and birthed new leaders.

The Yoruba society is very dynamic and if you are a leader, you really have to be very careful because one costly political blunder can bring a death knell to your political career.
I believe very soon, the society of the other tribes will soon realise that in every struggle, you need a rallying central figure.
In the Yoruba culture, anytime anything goes wrong,in family, village, association, churches, name it, they always blame the leadership first by asking "ko si olori lagan ni?"( Is there no leader in the place?)

Tell him to clean his stone coated teeth.

Zoom this picture and see how all the national and club colours are well represented in his teeth.

I would've shouted you down because of the bolded sentence but nothing is impossible in that country. Maybe after 2023, Thiefnubuu will hand over to James Ibori. undecided

Tinubu is the 21st century Awolowo. Maybe a modified or political version.
He is a very strategic politician, there are only a few politician alive who can match him in political arithmetic.

One thing I still don't understand is how he is able to control majority of the West.

They've entrusted him with power so he becomes their property and become accountable to them.It is a tough place to be if you ask me because you will suffer for decisions arrived at by the collective even if your personal wish is contrary to the wishes of the led.

You are right about the West because Delta state may soon have an APC Governor in Chief Great Ogboru (you will soon see the contagious effect of APC in Edo on Delta state election and how suddenly people in Delta won't have qualms being in the same political party with their kith and kin in the old Bendel of Western Nigeria) thereby possibly returning the whole old Western region into one political bloc again as done by the late Chief Awolowo.
He has a very strong backing from the majority of the Yoruba(including Edoid Yoruba, Itshekiri- Yoruba) and the formidable Yoruba Intelligentsia who help him collate data, views and results from evidence-based strategic planning and advisory. One of the arrow heads of his inner caucus of Intelligentsia Advisers who equally have personal stake in his success are the current Vice President,Prof.Osibanjo, Ekiti state governor,Dr. Fayemi( both University of Lagos Great Akokites, UNILAG has produced 3 out of the 6 SW governors!) and a host of extremely brilliant talents within and outside the shores of Nigeria.

I'm from Delta. I understand Okowa has failed but Ogboru is becoming too regular in all elections.

I still don't think Tinubu was the main problem to Ambode but because of his position, everyone's pointing fingers at him.

U are right, being in a position of leadership is a tough call most times mostly when there are conflicts ok f interests within the cycle.
